THE MERRICK WILDCAMP DEC 3RD 2016

a long awaited trip to dumfries and galloway, wayne always wanted to climb the merrick so we met up and off we went.. lots of sweat a 4 mile walk to the top, ice wind cloud sunsets laughs.. it was all here. very enjoyable camp with top lads..

loved the video... great fun to watch... not sure I would like to be in a tent with frost on the inside and in those winds but definitely would love to be at the top of there come the dawn... stunning views... thanks for sharing another great video brought back memories of when I was taken there at the age of 5... we didn't camp but were out late poaching the loch.

Nymeria Meliae great up there. Loads more to explore. Future camps definitely. I'm used to the frost and cold. As long as your prepared and not bothered about tent bound it's all good. I just love being out. The wind was a killer though. Meant we couldn't sit out and chat. Not to worry though. Cheers for watching Atb.

Superb mate great watching it in my tent.We had a clear first night then mist for 2 days.Some nice shots i didnt get any , got to the Devils Bath Tub at 3.15pm. Be good to see what you do with your new Camcorder i'm happy with my new toy !

dumfries and galloway is probably my favourite area to go camping been going since I was about 8 years old with my dad. (23 now) it has everything, solway coast line, some hills, some forest (biggest in the uk) and some cracking lochs not too far from newcastle either

Just looking at that vid is making me realise how bad that weather was, your tent sounds like a helicopter aboot to take off lol. The silver lining was the sunrise and the blue skies on the way doon. That camp had the lot...it's the being out that counts. Great memories, we'll gan back, bothy bill owes me 2 cans and a bag of double deckers ha ha. if you're into reading books look into getting a kindle for when you're tent bound like that. the battery lasts months on them per charge and can read them in the dark and they weigh nothing.
