This is just a slight addition to how Artemis was regarded in Spartan society. While you highlighted that she was regarded as Spartan goddess of warfare, she held equal importance as the goddess of childbirth. In Spartan society, a woman who died in childbirth (creating a new Spartan) was given the same honours and respect and funeral rites as a Spartan man who died in battle. I don't want to detract from your excellent summary here - I just thought it was an interesting point to make.

What’s really amazing about this series is that one can see the commonalities across cultures’ deities. For instance, in the Yoruba pantheon, there’s a deity named Ochosi; he basically represents the same concept as Artemis. Hunter, deer are sacred to him, synonymous with magic, killed his mother by acting too hastily, etc. These commonalities make me think of Joseph Campbell’s “Hero of a Thousand Faces” hypothesis - either something happened globally and we interpreted the phenomenon based on our culture/location or we’re all the same so we create the same stories. Thanks for the series m8!

First: I admire his bravery for saying all that on a a goddess who favors girls over men and usually turn them into jackalopes Second: I still like her the best because I've read way too much Percy Jackson and him saying how awful the gods are

I read Percy Jackson, honesty I like when I was young but now I don't(well,I still like Clarisse La Rue,Reyna,Sadie Kane and her brother,Zia Rashid,Nico and maybe Frank but just they),Rick is a misogynist,he doesn't respect Pagan Religion, and he says in his books(that are designed to childrens) that a rapist is an excellent father figure and a kind man,but in the same time he says that Ares(who is one of the first Feminist Gods) that he is dump,he like to kill children that want to save Olympus,he is a weak fighter who lost a fight to a 12 years old,and that he is the misogynist and that basically he hate his daughters,in the Sea of Monsters Rick write that he threaten Clarisse,in the Stolen Chariot it's says that only his sons gets his motorcycle for a day and Clarisse is the first daughter in centuries, and in the Percy Jackson and the Greek Gods Rick change completely story of Harmonia,in real world she was given by force to her husband(who kill her brother)by Zeus and after she is transformed intro a snake by Hephaestus,in Rick's book after death of her brother and her wedding,Ares transformed her and her husband intro snakes, and all in Greek Gods(a story in which Percy is the narrator and the commentator) appears Alcippe(daughter of Ares)who is almost rape by a son of Poseidon, and still Ares is the bad guy that killed very painfully that son of the bitch- sorry son of Poseidon, and all that narrattor says is that he wanted to see Poseidon fight Ares because of that him kills his son,and that it is just the obviously things, but are many others things, like in the Lightning Thief when Medusa is accused for Poseidon that rape her,and many other things

I wonder if he intends to make a series about the other constellations other than the twelve that inspired the names of the Zodiac Signs 🤔

Artemis didn't get angry about the childbirth. She was pissed off at the fact Callisto lied to her.
