There is one power they gave the hammer that seems to be a bit of a secret. They gave the hammer the power to resurrect the dead to full life. The only problem is that it can't fix broken bones. So if someone breaks the bones of the dead, it will resurrect the dead, but the bones will still be broken.

I'm really glad to hear that someone else acknowledges that Sindri isn't accepting responsibility for Brok not being able to have an afterlife because it was really bothering me how he was blaming Atreus as if Sindri's selfishness wasn't the reason that Brok was missing part of his soul.

Indeed, I agree. It's just a coping mechanism, Sindri doesn't wanna look wrong because he felt he did the right thing bringing his brother back. which was a good and bad since we got to meet Brok and Him, but because sindri stayed attached to brok now there will be no second chances and it will be harder for him to grow past his brothers death. He should have simply let go like Brok said.
@Zenith07 Жыл бұрын
I agree, it wasn’t Atreus fault as well… they where deceived and tricked something atreus wouldn’t know, and also the fact that after Sindri revived brock he basically doomed him for eternity for not having an afterlife, doesn’t matter if he survives through ragnarok, he lives long and a happy life but he’ll still die with no afterlife.

I agree with you Jon. Sindri, being a resident of the Nine Realms, had to have know that resurrecting Brok like that would have repercussions and would likely be worse if he died again. I think he believes it’s just easier to lash out at everyone and blame Atreus than it is to admit he never should have revived Brok. If there’s an expansion to Atreus’ story, they’re gonna have to tackle this head on.

Also, I don't think Sindri denies his role in losing Brok, but again, he's grieving. Cut him some slack. And I doubt Sindri would fall that far. If Freya of all people could come back and reconcile, then Sindri still has a chance too. As Mimir said, give him time, lad. He'll come around.
@OnitaFreeze Жыл бұрын
I do have to say it's a great way for the games creators to subtly speak on correlation and causation. If he never made the leviathan axe brok would've never died to begin with and he wouldn't have died the second time to no longer exist at all because Kratos wouldn't have gotten it and they wouldn't have found "Tyr." Sindri is affected by thr correlation that Kratos and atreus found "tyr" seeing them as the cause of broks official death. When the actual cause was his own. And he's not able to see that through his grief and the horror that well...his brother can't even have an afterlife because of all of this. I think that has to be one of the worst fates of these characters, brok never truly healed. He never got an apology from his brother, he probably couldn't never get that part of his soul back. Before then the lady of the lake, whom he had wanted to speak to for SO LONG didn't even acknowledge him and that's how he finds out! And he has to do all of this through ragnorok happening to inevitably be killed AND HE WAS STILL RIGHT ABOUT WHAT WAS HAPPENING! As you can tell I love brok 😂

I didn't realize the 4 parts of the soul concept was actually part of Norse myth. I figured it was a reference to the 5 pieces of the soul in Egyptian mythology (another way of hinting that other pantheons exist), and maybe that would be the quest for the next game; helping Sindri find the last piece so Brok can rest in peace. I suppose that was wishful thinking on my part.

@thegreatgamingkid8252 Жыл бұрын
@mighty lion Sindri was right alongside them in allowing “Tyr” into the house. Everybody there got tricked except Brok. Not only that, but you forget all of the times that Kratos and Atreus helped Sindri and Brok too, especially in the last game. Whether other people would do it or not is irrelevant, Sindri going back to grab Brok from death was a selfish decision driven by his desire to not be alone, which he said himself. He even refused to tell Brok this until his death, knowing how much it would hurt Brok. Because of that decision and his inability to grab all 4 soul parts, Brok has to pay the price of not having an afterlife. Even if Sindri dies, or any of their family, Brok will never be able to see them again or be at peace (unless something changes later on but I don’t think it would do go good tor the consequences of this story I’d they were to).
@expressiondestination6430 Жыл бұрын
@mightylion6432 thats not the point, sindri took 3 of broks 4 souls parts, so he knew when brok died again that'd be that. He was too much of a coward he not only allowed his brother to live with an incomplete soul, but he didn't tell him because he'd me mad. And after all of this he's mad that he couldn't see it was the real Tyr. Fuck they've been dealing with Oden how long and they never expected it? Sindris pain and toil is all on his own hands

Something I really appreciate about the Norse Duology of God of War in particular, even if it's true throughout the franchise, is how complex the situation with Sindri really becomes, especially in terms of what is said towards the end. Everything that happens to the Huldra Brothers is more or less a direct result of Sindri's decisions, but even if you are correct in saying "Sindri brought this all on himself", it never translates to "Sindri deserved it". I find it a fascinating distinction.
