The MESSENGER isn’t just a Messenger

The “Messenger” is an unorthodox chess piece. It moves diagonally forward and may move 2 squares if on the second rank. It captures vertically forward and can promote to a more powerful piece upon reaching the last rank. The design is outdated as they have recently changed it.

I first thought this was a stone general. In giant shogi variants, the stone general exists as a piece, not a pawn, and can promote.

Pawn could be worth slightly more than Berolina Pawn cuz capture>move but since Berolina Pawn can also promote like a Pawn it would worth slightly more than a Pawn cuz it's movement make it hard to prevent it from promoting

Yes, I’ve played mini forest and that is the case with the diagonal moving pawn, it promotes from both sides. Maybe it is worth more, but I think it would be the same. :]
