Excellent video as always. Nice to see a bit of freight getting in the mix. Well done 💙 stay safe 🤓

We don't get much variety on freight round here. A small number of trains run regularly but many paths are rarely used. Even VSTP ones often don't actually run.

I wonder what routes the Class 707s will operate on once they have been transferred from South Western Railway to Southeastern. Will Southeastern operate the Class 707 to Orpington and Sevenoaks the same way as Thameslink Class 700 goes to. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_707

If you want to see a copy of the 1862 Mid-Kent (Bromley to Saint Mary's Cray) Leasing Act 1862, go here: www.bblhs.org.uk/old-books

Fascinating. This raises fresh questions about where the actual meeting point between the Crays Company's line and the East Kent was. It is specifically named as Bickley Junction in the Act. The physical Bickley Junction that we all know only came into existence when the Bickley Loops were built in 1902, but did it already exist as an end on junction? Wikipedia has always led me to believe that the end on junction was at or near St Mary Cray station. Para 38 is also very interesting. The South Eastern agreed that it's existing running powers over the WELCPR Farnborough Extension from Beckenham Jct to Shortlands, and any running powers that it may have expected to have over The Crays Company lines were to cease from Sept 1st 1863. This is presumably the reason that Bromley South still doesn't have a service to London Bridge, much to the annoyance of those of us who lived in the area and worked in the City. Presumably also the reason for the SER backing the Bromley North branch some 15 years later.

Has the class 465 motor changed ?

The 465/2s have always had different motors to the rest. The Wikipedia article about the class has a lot of information.
