Chasing Daydream

Күн бұрын

I wanted something interesting and new to try for my daughters 3rd missed birthday. She would have been 26.
So I took on the 12 mile inspiration ride at The Mid South Gravel Race. It's not the big 50 or 100 mile races. But it gave me a taste of what gravel is like. And has given me the racing motivation for this year's Tour de Dirt XC Series, that I hoped it would.
My channel is a PTSD Recovery Journey.
Using Mountain Biking, a GoPro, and Racing, to inspire me to Chase the Daydream of Life.
Despite all odds.
If this interests you, please like and subscribe to my channel. It helps encourage me to keep sharing this journey. In the hopes it will inspire others to Chase a Daydream of their own.

Those who face challenges and see them through are all on thier own journey. Keep pushing those barriers. Coming from a 100 miler. Well done ! 🙌🙌🙌

Great job on recording and editing this video. And great job on the ride. I've been cycling for a LONG time, but I don't do dirt. I grew up in a small NW Oklahoma town that had two paved streets--Main Street and the street in front of the school. I grew up riding every day to school and all over town and the countryside around town, so I got all the dirt riding I ever want to do by the time I was 16 and got my driver's license. Sorry for your loss. I truly believe cycling will be one of your courses to healing. It has literally saved my life more than once. Too complicated to get into here.

Thank you for sharing your opinion on the video. I put some thoughts into my music selections and when. And was able to get some decent side footage. It was fun to edit. Up in the pan handle I assume? Everything up towards NWO is pretty flat. Windmill country. I understand being burnt out on dirt roads. And yeah my life is way more complicated than I talk about. That's for sure. So I can relate to that. That's why I'm putting so much into riding. It's my escape. And a life saver for me as well. Thanks for the feedback, story, and encouragement. 🫶🙂

That's great to ride any group ride. Mostly I rode by myself. Up to a 45 mile commute to Casa Grande from Mesa, Arizona. I also rode the 325 mile Arizona Challenge twice and many long solo rides and small group rides to get ready and for fun. I used old 10 and 12 speed non indexed derailleur systems. The 70's and 80's were long ago. At 73 or so I do ride an indexed system on my first aluminum non chrome moly frame.
