He can't, I would assume. Jason might come back if they can get things back on track, but at this point maybe that isn't possible, who knows. It seems all of this is mostly financial-related and Jason's trying to make a go on his own with his new channel to support himself. He's got to make a living and apparently there wasn't enough money to go around for all of the staff, from what I understand. Brian really needs to sit down and do a "state of the channel address" to clear the air, but I'm sure it hasn't been easy to work all of this out and he's probably still trying to figure out the best way to deal with it.

For people asking about the bowfinger story, that's the middle AND the index finger. Those are the fingers needed to draw the bowstring and were the ones the French would cut off of English archers. showing those two fingers is seen as an insult similar to the middle finger in britain (and maybe other places idk)

I heard it that archers would be threatened to have the middle finger cut off by opposing forces because you cannot draw a long bow back with an arrow, so archers would flip off the opposition in defiance.

Seems like popular fingers are... popular. Might be because the English cut of the middle fingers of archers. And/Or a phallic display from Rome. We only have 10 fingers. Five of them are the same. Soo not many to choose from. Most likely its from both French and Romans...

I always thought the middle finger is what the English used to flash the French. What I heard was after a war with bows and arrows, the French said when they won, they would cut off the archery fingers of the English. Well the English won then flashed the thumb and middle finger at them in a 'pluck you' kind of style to taunt the French.

I had always suspected it evolved out of the Anglo-Saxon "2 finger salute" (or reverse peace sign) which began as a way of saying "hey I've still got these fingers" as it was common for those fingers to be removed as punishment to prevent people from being able to use a bow. I then ASUMED from there it had evolved to use only the single finger.

@InfernalBanana9 ай бұрын
Seems like it. I’ve been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but after the explanation on Great Night and his tunnel vision around Founder’s Day, it’s really hard to. He keeps bleeding money because his ambition got the better of him, had to lay off most of his crew and his best friend, and is spending money he doesn’t have on a festival for something that’ll last two minutes, if that. Now he’s at the point on the channel where he’s milking content for numbers, stretching one video into four or five ten minute videos, and they’re from one single article on the Modern Rogue website that’ll take you maybe ten minutes to read. It’s clear it’s for numbers and to keep sponsorships, and it’s clear that he’s doing the bare minimum, cheapest content to try making back the money he’s bled over the last two years and continues to bleed. He’s already deep in a hole, but he refuses to put down the shovel and refocus his priorities. He needs to restructure his business and reprioritize areas instead of chasing after his ego.

I was thinking the same thing. It has a completely different feel. What I loved about MR was Brian and Jason and how real of an experience it was. Comparatively this feels fake. I hope they can come back to what it was, but money and friendships are difficult to maintain.

@@InfernalBanana I missed the explanation and stuff so I'm not aware what's gone on. I was never a subscriber but used to enjoy the videos because they would pop up in my recommendations. I knew there was the founders club thing but I never really understood what that was about. I just supposed you needed to have been there In the really early days of MR. I always found them funny and informative but this is dry and dull and just going into detail on something that's blatantly obvious. It's really scraping the bottom of the barrel for content.
