The river has changed enough that I'm even having a harder time figuring out what section of the MP you are fishing, lol! Another great day on the MP with your bugs Bob! I'm looking forward to fishing the MP again soon!

I’ve gone up and down the Bunny Farm, River Road and Legacy. Yep it’s a new river to be sure. I’ve had stellar days and not so stellar days since the flies have gone down.

I'm actually kind of excited to go explore more of it. Only covered a short stretch.

Great video. 2000 CFS will change a river landscape. Nice fish.

Yeah, Change is good. Need to go explore all the other sections and get a good mental map back in place.

I like your new pack. I miss ya Bob, I moved back to Oregon. I haven't fly fished since I left Utah. Too busy fishing for salmon, steelhead, black bass, lingcod, halibut, sturgeon. Stay fishy bud.

Where about in Oregon? I guess coast based on those species. I've spent a fair bit of time around Bend.

I'm near Portland, and fishing with big gear for big fish. I'm planning a trip to Crooked River in a couple weeks, gonna try out all your flies@@TroutFlies

amazing video bob! can you fish the bunny and birdy royales off of an indicator? or do you find they work better euro nymphing?
@TroutFlies Жыл бұрын
A lot of people fish them under indicators and do well! I fish them under hopper dropper a lot.

I'm new to the sport, would you mind explaining what your Nymp rig setup looks like? Great content!
@TroutFlies Жыл бұрын
Hi Brian, I'm running a euro nymphing rig. It's a tightline rig that uses a long thin leader formula with sighter material for strike detection. The Tungsten beads built into the nymphs get the flies down on their own. My leader formula is 12 feet of 8lb Maxima Chameleon to 2 feet of .008 sighter material to a tippet ring. Then I have 4 feet of 5x to a triple surgeon's with a dropper tag then another 2 feet of 5x to the point fly.

where are your pants from?

They're just some generic quick dry pants off Amazon I think.

did you get a new backpack? what happened to your old black one?

I didn't love fishing out of the Lowepro. It's heavy and I wanted to push my setup back towards a fishing pack that can hold camera stuff versus a camera bag that you can fish out of. So I went with the Orvis Bug Out Backpack.
