How do I say thank you for this song? I visited my best friend for the first time in 10 years in the height of the pandemic. We went for a night drive into the Texan countryside, playing the new album. I saw the Milky Way for the first time with her by my side and felt humbled by everything all at once as the warm winds rustled our hair. Then we drove back to our rental, and she didn't know, but I recorded us belting out the lyrics--"we'll just buy CHEAPER WINE," so loud and off-key. Now I watch it back and just cry at how lucky I am to have such a sterling memory I can carry with me for the rest of my life even when everything else feels so heavy and crushing. This song reminds me of her. We met one day at a friend's house and almost instantly felt something. I asked her out she agreed and together we spent the most beautiful 48 hours possible.
