My husband owned a M-5 and later a M-7 235C I believe. Both versatile aircraft but no insulation I was always so cold in them. But incredible views almost the entire fuselage is transparent tell your first off airport landings. The M-5 was really reasonable to operate to. Great company.
@moultriemanicmechani6 жыл бұрын
it's just like riding a motorcycle, you have to dress warm for the conditions, they actually have a decent amount of insulation inside.

FSX is great for training or maintaining "muscle memory", if you don't have to "think" about effects of controls, it frees your mind to concentrate on other tasks.

It is so sad that a pissing contest started in the comments. This is a beautiful video of an aircraft that has proven itself time and again. It takes all types of flying to advance small plane aviation. It is great to have a passion for the type of plane and reason you fly it. Look at how many posted that this video, and if you look at similar videos, the interest that it has sparked in flying. If you are proud of your work horse plane do a video of it and what it does. It might also inspire many the possibilities and capabilities your plane has. Do not forget that it is flying in God's breath taking country is what this video is about. Get out and fly!

Yea it was flaps. I wouldn't call it common, but in this case I over shot my desired touchdown point, but elected to continue to land. About 700 feet down the runway is a pretty good erosion point I wanted to miss. So I ditched my flaps and we were firmly (as you can tell) planted allowing full breaking. I would have rather touchdown where I wanted, but it is just one more tool in the box you can use.

“The Cub-S performs brilliantly in difficult, remote operations,” said SportairUSA’s Bill Canino. “This is a lot of airplane for less than $125,000.” The first two deliveries are scheduled for November of this year. The Cub-S is the result of two years of study by Zlin Aviation in collaboration with experienced Alaskan bush pilots. This new airplane tops the Zlin line, which also includes the Savage Bobber, Cub, iCub, Cruiser and Classic.

Super Cub/ Carbon Cub/ Husky / STOL King Just Aircraft / Zenith 701 / Zenith 801 / Wilga / I might add these are all experimental at some point ( you didn't realize that !!!!!! )
@Backcountryaviation7 жыл бұрын
+Lance Anderson I own a super cub and a Carbon cub and while great planes, they don't go nearly as fast or carry the cargo. Huskies have worse short field performance, range, and speed and none of the cargo capacity. Just are quite a bit slower and still a two seater and experimental. Zeniths are still a lot slower. Just the facts. I would say it depends on the mission. Hence why own 3 different ones. My guess is you don't have experience flying many of these airframes if any judging by the odd comparisons.
@lanceanderson14177 жыл бұрын
I realize I'm not the expert on STOL aircraft as you are. I've built three aircraft including experimental. If your talking bush aircraft your talking bush aircraft including experimental. I've been flying for ten plus years in Maine. We have bush aircraft like you have Chevy trucks. We don't use them for weekend hobby rich boy contests we work them hard. I take offense at your arrogant attitude, I can't afford $ 285000 for your weekend get together contest. So get off you shitty attitude, don't start looking down on fellow pilots when you don't know what you talking about. Don't criticize another warrior till you've walked a mile in his moccasins. We don't need condescending pilots like you !!!!!!!!! Do you even know what a VG is or that matter leading edge slats. If you think showing off to the newcomers by spraying water is impressive, you show you know so little.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Backcountryaviation7 жыл бұрын
Lance Anderson you work experimental airplanes?
@ranietsd16 жыл бұрын
Lance Anderson I see from your KZbin page that you are building radio controlled model aircraft and calling them "experimental". Good for you ! Since you "work your planes hard", why don't you write down which type of planes ? And I mean PLANES that can carry more than two people and a packet of sigarettes. It's annoying that people like you spit out so much shit just because they are envyous of people doing what they like and having worked hard enough to be able to buy a "$ 285000" plane. Stick to your model planes and leave other people alone.
