It's the juxtaposition of Nikki's stress next to Dave's glee for me. I get it though, just watching this stressed me out too. I hope Nikki got a chance to do something relaxing after this.

Just curious if y'all would consider doing a studio/shelf tour sometime? I love your setup and I think I noticed the Ian Fleming Bond books on the shelf over Nikki's shoulder?

We once did a quick go through of the studio on a livestream when we were able to hook up a phone to our calls. Maybe we can do a new one at some point. I will say it is a crazy maze of games that we try hard to manage. It is Nikki and my place. Thanks for the note and for watching. -Lincoln

from the start it seemed kinda straightforward... and it took me like half the video to realize how much harder this one actually is, because you have to place the cards down blind that changes so much of the entire dynamic

I like this version of the mind. Is there anything in the rules about how and where you write the clue numbers on that sheet? You could almost game it by writing a low number in a low position indicating its the lowest the seer viewed

The open information in the original The Mind is what makes it work. The immediate relief when you get through a round is what the game hinges on. This feels like extra steps to make the game worse.

I disagree entirely, if I even understand what your saying. I remember the original The Mind had no open info, except when a shuriken was used.

Do you need to write down a card number? For instance, maybe it might help to write down a number between two cards.

In the English translation of the rules, it reads: "In level 1, the Seer may look at 3 Number cards and write down 1 number on the Hint sheet" with the later example: "Tim [the Seer] secretly looks at 3 cards: they are 7, 38, and 42. He chooses to write the number 38 on the Hint sheet." After a failure, the example text reads: "Tim checks the pile, without showing the Number cards to the other players. Unfortunately, the order of the cards is incorrect: 7, 38, 35, 42. The 35 should have been played before the 38. The team loses 1 Life, which is returned to the box. They must try the level again. As a second hint, Tim writes the 35 next to the 38 on the Hint sheet." So while - in English, anyway - it never says you can't write down a non-card number, I'm pretty sure that the rules are you do have to. Of course, once you buy the game, you can play it any way you like :) nsv-games.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2023/01/TheMind_Soulmates_GB.pdf
