Thank you for sharing this info. Question. My Service Computation Date: 03/29/2012 and the plan to claim Disability Retirement. ( for my Physical and mental problems) When I am ready to claim for the future and want to get full benefits, when and what year and age is good for ? Thank you in advance. There is no required age in order to apply! All you need is 18 months of creditable service (which it sounds like you have) and a medical condition that is preventing you from fully performing your job. As long as you have supportive medical evidence to back up your claim, you may qualify for Federal Disability Retirement!

Keep in mind that if you qualify for a regular retirement, Federal Disability Retirement may not be the most beneficial option unless you qualify for backpay. You can give our office a call to talk more about your specific situation at 877-226-2723!

@@DisabilityRetirement Got it. I already made a schedule to ask some questions. For example, I am saving info and keep going to my doc's appt to add my medical records. Maybe 5 years later, once my claim time has come, I will be 50 years old. When I start my claim at that time and approved my DR, can I get full DR benefits ? Thank you in advance. Have a great day.

@@jaydenplowz3913 You will be able to receive full disability retirement benefits if you meet all eligibility and qualification requirements and you are approved by the OPM. Compiling medical documentation can be extremely beneficial to your case!
