The real question is whether the U-14 version was actually built, because I've only ever seen wooden mockups; I sense this is what the rationalization was behindchoosing the U-13. Unless you're japan - which had slim pickings for WW2 tanks - Gaijin doesn't go out of it's way to model mockup tank designs. But if it was actually built then I'm sure it will come at some point.

since you said the ratel 90 wasn't bad, you should play the objectively awful ratel version; the ratel 20. it has the same bad mobility as the 90, but with the same weapons as the marder IFV, which doesn't sound bad at first, until you realise you're expected to fight king tigers and jumbo pershings with 7 slow moving ATGMs and an autocannon that can't even pen a panther's side (day 16)

The KV-7, if it was historically accurate, would fire its sights our of alignment. This would require repairing. There was another variant of the KV-7 that had two 76.2 mm guns. One was completed, but never saw service. Funnily, upon review of this KV-7 by Stalin, he infamously said "Why 3 guns? We only need one, but a better one!" The KV-7-2, as it's known, would make another interesting event vehicle.

You really have to play this tank its the fv4202, a british medium tank that is very modern for its BR because its actually an early prototype of the Chieftain, it has a 20pdr gun which is pretty good and is quite fun. (Day 39)

There is this specific angle where you're completely impenetrable, you'll have to angle way more than you did: 1. you can draw an imaginery line between one of the rear corners of the "turret/crew compartment build up whatever square" across to the front corner (of the build-up) on the opposite side 2. and another line (from that same rear corner) to the front corner end of the tracks (also opposite site) = if you position your enemies in that angle while you reload, you can completely ignore them as they won't be able to penetrate you (or any of your weak spots (driver sight, hull machine gun port, gunner sight)) If you're using your guns seperately (and maybe even APCR for the small guns) you can let them bounce their shells and easily kill two of them right there, many people will think you disengaged or didn't see them in the first place, because it almost seems like you're turning your side to them but the side armor is just that strong (if you see a KV-7's side, don't even try it, unless it's a full 90 degrees)

Agree, angling like the Tiger 1-most effective when angled 20-45 degrees to the left-- or even wiggling sometime work too. You will enjoy those ricochets, except against an 88mm German gun, which has about a high chance of penetrating. I learned this during the 'Chasing the Brother' event (honestly, the worst event in my opinion). I just angled and tanked shots for about 4 minutes from six KV-7s-yes, six of them! Countering this angling tactic is pretty simple: shoot the tracks (engine works the best) to immobilize the tank. If they try facing you head-on, aim for their front weak spot, and it’s GG. Overall would rate this tank just good enough but for new F2P (around rank III try to research rank IV) it kinda a bless cause the premium boost is huge. My record play this tank is 14 kills (8k RP) and tactic? Brainless storm them to their base while angle all the shots XD

Day 43 of telling spookston to play the IT1. its a ATGM launcher on the t62 chassis, it has decent-ish mobility, the turret is squished. You can hide behind cover and shoot ATGM over the cover like a gremlin and you overpressure tanks (tho it can be rare, but it does happen without you realizing) and its MG is really werid. Also it has a cool reload animation.

I really want to see you play using a sim pit with full set of controls, by using the rudders for tracks, hotas for turret and a throttle for shift and go power. You can keybind most if not all the settings in ground battles through in game control setting in realistic or custom setup. This takes the game difficulty up a bit from having to change your play style to a degree but it can be fun when set up correctly. Automatic shifting can help the learning curve. The rig I use at the moment is the thrustmanster warthog hotas and throttle with the TPR rudder peddles.

I saw a lot of complaining that this thing is apparently overtiered and I strongly disagree... This thing is a walking nightmare to deal with. It is KV-1 chasis so it is by default far more mobile than it looks and than it should be. It has a frontal armour of KV-1E and all the "weakspots" are prone to volumetric wonkiness - I can't even count how many times this bloody thing bounced My StuG's 75mm right off its driver's port, MG port or these 2 holes besides the gun. The only reliable weak part of this damnable thing is the side armour. The firepower is also silly. 76mm is the same as on T-34 - so we are talking about average pen, VERY good negation of angling, stupid post-pen damage. All that means these shells tend to penetrate things that they logically shouldn't. 45mm is not exactly far away from insane penetration of US 37mm, and comes 30g of tnt equivalent as well. You may thing it is not sufficient at 4.0, but... since it is a Russian round I've seen this bloody thing penetrate armour it definitely shoudn't. Mantlets of Shermans, UFP of Panzer IV, sides of angled Churchill, you get the idea. And the last problem - even vehicles - which means people who got it first were good players. So when it first arrived, facing Russians withing 4.0 spread was basically a guaranteed loss.

I absolutely adore this thing, but I prefer the SU-152. I use both aggressively. Day 38: I Implore you to play the Rooikat Mk.1D. Its fast, it can resist 50cals to the front, and its cannon tickles enemies to death.
