My twin girls shared one placenta and one amniotic sac. Being a doctor I was so scared of cord entanglement. They were born prematurely at 32 weeks. After staying so many days at NICU and so many hard days at home they are now 14 months old.

Literally exactly the same as everyone else just two at once, one egg+one sperm, your twin was a whole separate egg+a whole separate sperm. It's not rocket science.

So, I have a set of twins and have no idea if they're identical or not. My ob looked at their sonogram and told me that they could be identical even though they're in separate sacs. She said it depends on when they split. Everyone swears that they look exactly alike. I've also read that twins can be identical if they have the same gender and the same blood type, which is the case for my two. Genetic testing is too expensive, so I guess we'll never know 😔 P.S. I'm a twin, and my sister has a set of twins.

I don't even know what fluids are in or not in the utërus cavity or it's just the animation version yet it peak curiosity how does the spërm deposit swims in a environment that isn't meant to storage fluids ...may be, I not fully understand the biology of my reproductive system as well as a woman's reproductive system... If I was more focus on biology than waiting for age 18 to enlist in the military, i probably would of been fond on being a biologist...Now absorbing this information is good to learn about structure for reproducing and yet fear mongering of not having a family because of the possibility the embryo development could change within the woman utërus ...I don't want to know the complications of my girlfriend situations if she have twins or triplets developing within her ...single child would be enough... I appreciate the dandelion animation on this subject showing every minutiae details as the cells fusion and transfering both the parents dna structure in creating another lifeform from microscopic clumps of cells... At the beginning sound effects stray my mind in hearing the mitochondria evolution from Parasite Eve ...👓😶
