Babbo, I would like to comment on the KK hand. When your heads up with a standard pre flop bet - call from villain, you virtually always want to c bet when an A comes. You have more aces in your range. Also if villain has an ace, typically an upsized turn barrel can fold out a weak naked top pair. The idea is to be aggressive within your range when applicable. Think of it as merging all your range into the perceived actual hand. This really only changes when villain donks OOP or if pre flop raise was large for particular “table stakes”. You generally want to disregard live reads and just keep hammering. Aggressive play always wins the day! Good luck hope this helps.
@knowone59583 ай бұрын
Saying disregard live reads seems absolutely ridiculous. If you have a read go with it rather than GTO and save $ or win $. Reads are more powerful than GTO as they give information that a solver doesn’t use
@Pokerbabbo3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! Live cash games are very different that online or GTO. you’d think that we have more A than villain but a lot of the times that’s not the case since they tend to call with way more A’s that we’re raising with that’s the purpose of checking a lot of A high boards.

I always enjoy your VLogs, and this one was a beaut. I have less than a week of experience in playing Dbl Bd PLO bomb pots (at the Lodge in Texas). They add a tremendous amount of variance to the game and reduce the number of NLH hold'em hands per hour,, so my preference is to avoid them, but when in Texas you need to go with the flow. Glad they were favorable for you this time!

I think players overplay a lot of hands in PLO. The 55 should be an easy fold. He’s got bottom boat and bottom boats are so vulnerable IMO. But especially because he has nothing on the other board, it’s a snap fold. You’re HOPING to chop with bottom boat. Too optimistic if you ask me. But nice hand for you. Very nice win. Great session!

The QQ hand you need to go huge for value pot or more, cause on a double paired board his A high hands are all checking back, you’re going to have some back door stuff that wants to bluff big cover your ass and lead with overbet. The J83dd doesn’t seem like an overbet to me off hand, thought BTN overbets only come on board with massive range advantage like AQ6 FD or stuff like that.

He is flatting 3 bets when he opens with QQ and has a caller behind and then guy on button 3 bets and then checks all 3 streets and calls only a c-bet on the flop lmao. That is most definitely a preflop range issue in a 1-2 1-3 or a 2-5 game lmfao

@@Pokerbabbo you're definitely getting too passive again man. 7:12 with QQ out of position, you should be firing that 4 bet to $200 or $225. I'm not sure what you have behind - that's a tip I'd suggest in the graphics rather than your win/loss during the session, what is your stack behind? But out of position, you need to be more aggressive preflop for sure. I'm rooting for you but you're playing scared again.

J83 an overbet against the BB?
@Pokerbabbo3 ай бұрын
🤷🤷
@TheNow_Now3 ай бұрын
The 64dd is interesting. For what it's worth, i don't think that flop (J83dd) is an overbet spot. Vs overbets though, we normally want to play almost all of our range as a pure call. Since, it's such a polarized line, if we raise maybe bluffs will fold but thick value will pile in more money. For example, on that turn card, if you had check raised the overbet, he had re-raised you then with some thick value hand, that is a disastrous outcome.

What about the strategy of overbetting or checking on A high board? It's not solver approved so is it some sort of exploitation of the filed? Personally I don't range bet these board as the pfr in position as a lot of mid reg do (it's a mistake and we know it) but surely doesn't just overbbet or check. Just a few of them are overbet (mostly AKX, AQX), some are check, and some are standard 33% cbet. Curious about that.
@Pokerbabbo3 ай бұрын
I think it would very likely be silver approved if you lock in the ranges people tend to have live games. So often they play way to many Ax combinations making them have more than what we have in our raising range
@criostasi40803 ай бұрын
