Ramping up our coverage of the Multiverse of Madness, today we wanted to discuss some the fabled Mirror Dimension. a parallel dimension within the Marvel Cinematic Universe that allows Doctor Strange and other masters of the mystic arts to practice advanced spells and dark magic without worrying about their spells affecting the main universe. Influenced heavily by graphic artist MC Escher, the mirror dimension can be an insanely powerful tool when used by the sorcerer supreme. Today's video cover the history, abilities, and weaknesses of the MCU version of the Mirror Dimension

1:43 Huh. My understanding of the Mirror Dimension was that any sorcerer can fold space while inside, but it takes the Dark Dimension to fold space in the real world. There's a line from the Ancient One in Doctor Strange that makes me think this. "He folds matter *outside* the Mirror Dimension? In the real world?" Emphasizing "outside" makes me think that Mirror Dimension folding is always possible, but (as Mordo puts it) a "connection to the Dark Dimension makes [one] more powerful in the Mirror Dimension."

In supplementary material, it's stated that only those who draw power from the Dark Dimension are able to manipulate the dimension. Nobody other than the Ancient One or Kaecilius even attempt it in The Mirror Dimension. It may have been retconned in No Way Home, but we'll probably find out for sure soon.

@@KeyIssues If it's a retcon, then that's just bad writing. Yo', in No Way Home, did the writers try to retcon time travel? It seems based off the interaction between Peter and Strange that the Time Stone can be used to change the past to effect the present (which has multiple implications), but I am also clueless as to the limitations regarding the use of the Time Stone along with the other Infinity Stones. If there is no limitations when using the stones (together or separately), then there is no story, which also means just about every character introduced in the MCU who had the stones are clueless and not so creative.

My question is how powerful will Wanda be inside the mirror dimension? Even tho she doesn’t draw power from the dark dimension she still has chaos magic and wouldn’t she also have some form of dark magic since she drained Agatha of all hers? (assuming agathas magic was from the dark dimension considering its purple coloured)

Both Agatha and Wanda have learned magic from "Darkhold" which itself derives power from Dark matter, which is believed to be from Dark dimension or Hell dimension or something.

4:14 In the movie footage, Thanos only appears to use the Power Stone since its purple glow is clearly shown, but there is no red glow to indicate he also used the Reality Stone.

While the might of his counter attack was mostly Power, I feel like some sort of Reality had to be used manipulate a parallel ‘reality’. Slow the video down and look at 5:48. There is a small red glow on the knuckles of the gauntlet beside the purple as he charges up. Thought it could be light reflexing off the gauntlet but it’s not the bronze color we see on the wrist, neck and left calf.

@@Isoloyouwithmybunda Dr Strange first movie when Ancient One is teaching Strange as he seeks a safe place to practice his spells. Ancient One says the mirror dimension is a safe space to practice spells without damaging the real world and they use it to contain threats as it was impossible to escape it without a sling ring.

@@Isoloyouwithmybunda minute 45 “You wouldn’t wanna be in here without a sling ring” “and sometimes to contain threats”. In NWH we clearly see that, Strange was trapped by Spider-Man inside the Mirror Dimension and couldn’t get out until Ned freed him with a sling ring.

Imagine comic book Dr. Strange in Infinity War, The fight would've ended in seconds, he'd overshadow EVERY character! That's why they nerf people, so that they can develop the character with their powers, Good example is Wanda, she was already capable in AoU, now imagine WV wanda in Civil War, The film would've ended in 10 minutes.

The mirror dimension has to abide by mathematical laws and he notices an archimedean spiral. So we deduce that the spiral shows locations over time of a point moving away from a fixed point with a constant speed along a line that rotates with constant angular velocity

Wanda saw that water was reflecting reality so she changed the mirror dimension walls to water matching reality, then moved through it. In the end she realized she could just change any reflective surface into water as you saw she did by crawling through the gold artifact.

In order for a Sorcerer to fold the Mirror Dimension, they have to connected to the Dark Dimension? Damn, now im super curious to see how Wanda will fight Strange inside the Mirror Dimension since Wanda has access to the Darkhold. Not only that though, Wanda also has her own "Mirror Dimension" which is the Hex. The same spell she used to trap Westview in. It'd be very interesting to see the two dimensions transitions into one another like Dr. Strange suddenly losing his power and realizes that he's actually inside Wanda's Hex.

I would love for the ancient one and professor x worked together and the X-Men are in the mirror dimension, after jean grey incident. Only Charles and a handful of mutants are outside the mirror dimension. Wanda See's the spell and breaks it
