I went to a Warped Tour in St Louis, Missouri and I was a hopelessly nerdy and awkward kid. I was walking with my head down so nervously walking to the next stage. A guy started walking besides me looking at me and I could sense it was in a friendly and comforting way. I eventually looked up. The guy put his arm around me and said “keep your head up. You’re going to be the man one day”. After the initial shock of realizing it was Mitch Lucker I tried to say thank you but couldn’t get out the words. That act of kindness by him eventually altered the course of my life. RIP Mitch!!! You will never be forgotten

That Summer 2006 tour was a gnarly one. So grateful to share the road with you guys. Quick Mitch story - we were playing a show on that Spreading The Disease tour and we’re half way through the tour, the shows are really good, confidence is high. We hit stage before you guys, halfway through set, halfway through a song…Mitch pants me like you mention at 1:18:02 in front of the whole crowd and I’m fully exposed. It felt like 10 minutes before I could get my wits together and not fuck up the riff I was playing. I tried to get Mitch back on that tour but he always evaded. Miss those days and that time in the industry. Proud of you Garza and everything you’ve done.

I was in a band in 08' and we got to play before you guys in Little Rock Arkansas. It was a big show right on the river and it was the most killer day... was you guys, Killswitch Engage, Disturbed and like 15 other great bands... we played a side stage a band or two before u guys right when Unanswered was really breaking and blowing minds... so many great bands played that day but my main memories were how cool u guys were and that David Draiman from Disturbed took time to watch our band from side stage. Definitely some drinking took place that day! We shared some beers and shot the shit. Mitch had a stage presence that was unmatched. Y'all took that place by storm and shattered minds. I'll never forget that day man. Thank u for sharing these stories about Mitch with us. ✌️ & ❤ brother!

I really don't remember, bro. All I remember was they closed with engine #9. Good times tho, for sure. I was in a deathcore band at the time, and had played that same stage like two weeks earlier. We just talked to them about how to get to the next level and influences in music. Mostly Mark. We saw them again when they came through on the Korn support tour at SaltAir, saw Mark again in the crowd after the show, and he fucking remembered us.

I saw you and SS play Salt Lake in 2009 with Chelsea Grin. The show was wild, and when SS started playing things got wild. I was with my little brother who was probably around 12 at the time. The crowd was rowdy and he was getting pushed around and I couldn't do much to help him stay up. One of your stage hands snatched my brother up and put him on the stage right next to you guys and Mitch. He often remembers that as one of his favorite concert moments of all time, and it was without a doubt one of the heaviest shows I've ever been to. Love you bro. Thanks for doing this.

Mitch was always one of my favorite vocalists, he and I met once at a show in Bigflats NY 2009 we bumped into each other walking around and just started talking, he was SUPER nice and friendly, asked me my name and took a picture with me and actually gave me a hug and it was so surreal because it was just like a fluke thing we ran into each other no one else around.. just he and I chatting for a minute and i'm forever grateful for how nice he was to me. I can't even begin to tell you how cathartic this was for me. My best friends passed away August 10th, I met him at work in 2012, we started jamming in 2014, and we jammed nearly every single friday after work. The group got bigger and bigger and everyone knew us as the jam dudes. 10 straight years of jamming, concerts, trips, late night talks. The silver lining is we recorded ALL of it, and uploaded about 700 tracks to soundcloud so I can always go back and listen. We're still jamming to this day in his memory, in fact it's jam night tonight. Angels Son is exactly what I listen to when I want to 'let it out', along with Tool, he was the biggest Tool fan. His wife and I made a playlist that we share, the very first song she put on there was "Last Breath". Again, thank you so much for doing this, 12 years seems like a long time to process grief but, I'm afraid I'm only just beginning.

Unfortunately things happen in life we have no choice or control over. You guys built something that was absolutely awesome, despite his passing nothing can change what you all accomplished. I hate you and the rest of the band had to try to move on and got so much bs from people who have no idea what you were going through. Despite all, I’m proud you carried on. Mitch should be remembered no doubt, but you and the rest of the guys deserve to be happy killing it on stage, along with keeping his legacy alive. Music is definitely my therapy. Thanks for being so open and raw it’s a huge part of my admiration and respect I have for you. I think that you have definitely honored your buddy/your band mate in the best way possible. The you honor him by being you, by being your best self, the way you have grown into a man from being a mess and what you have done with the band. Fantastic episode. You have done a great job going into the future of suicide silence and with that you honor him in the best way possible ❤thank you! I really hope you tour soon cause this ost tour was one of the best shows I have ever seen with Chelsea Grin on the last tour. Seriously I’m a little older than most and it’s one of my top shows I have ever gone to out of more shows then I can count at this point.
