This is one one of the most important lessons you can teach. Many boxers go years and years without ever even noticing they push their punches instead of releasing. Elbow should align with the hip on uppercuts and straight punches and gradually leave your side as you throw hooks or overhands for the most part but yes there are also times when you should wing your hooks etc. It should be the fastest route to the target and your muscles should be loose until the final twist of the fist as you're hitting your target 🎯 Also notice how his legs are shoulder length apart. Too many boxers start off with this very wide stance approach and it's just limiting your speed and mobility although you can generate some good power. It's better suited for karate to have that kind of stance but with boxing get your feet under your shoulders and align your punches with your hips

I feel like Ige either fights WAY up, or they offer a new contract and let him gatekeep another unranked fw for an easy show/win + performance bonus

I think the move for Prochazka could be MW at this point. He already got the belt in LHW once, so I think there is nothing to prove really, and I think the move to MW could bring some fresh air and motivation to him + I think he'd do really well except for matchups like Adesanya (who's contemplating life after loss to Strickland) or Chimaev (who get's an infection every 3 days). And Pereira can just go conquer whatever there is to conquer. I don't wanna see him stay in LHW, he's beating everyone in huge fashion. I think he easily beats anyone except Aspinall and Jones, where Aspinall would be the more probable guy to accept the fight. And if there are complications about moving to HW for some reason, then Pereira at this point can stop by WW and snatch the belt there or something.

I think Pereira at hw is a bad move for him. The top hws are big. Especially Gane/Aspinall/Volkov. Pereira can be chinned because of his weird defense. Poatan is a natural lhw I don't feel his skillset will be as effective against Jones, Aspinall, Gane. He should stay at lhw and beat Ankalaev and maybe defend one more time against Hill and retire with a legendary resume. Aspinall feels like a nightmare matchup for Alex, Apsinall is BIG and the power he possesses I don't think Pereira will be able to take or impose his own.
