I'm pretty sure the alien episode is the one with 20k frames. The animation was SO crisp during the whole episode. In a normal anime, if there was a car scene, all the characters would just sit still with lip flaps for talking. For Mob Psycho 100 they had more in 3 seconds of animation than the entirety of 7ds. The episode was so comfy with just the storyline alone and the animation boosted it by 100x.

Loved hearing your thoughts on this season. I am quite disheartened that people didn't like the telepathy episodes. I personally loved it. You're right with the animation on episode 8, there was so much character animation it's insane. That scene of Reigen removing his shirt was rotoscoped so it looked VERY smooth. This season skyrocketed Dimple in my top 3 mob characters list (First and second being Reigen and Mob duh). And that's such a feat cause i was never a huge Dimple fan last seasons. I would love it if you made a follow-up video on the final arc of Mob Psycho. It ties up everything so well and honestly deserves a video of its own. Maybe you could even give your overall thoughts on Mob Psycho as a whole in that video since yeah, this is the last season afterall. The whole series is finished after this season

it pains me that the second episode of the telepathy arc is the second lowest rated episode this season on imdb. I'm surprised you talked so much about that arc without mentioning the aliens. specially the finale of it with that 1 accidently going with them on one of the best end of episode segments I have ever seen. also, reigen would let you smell his feet. The question is, how much money he would ask for.

Season 3 has been so amazing with the animation. The first half of season 2 was a bit lacking, as it was a lot of reused animation from season 1, but the ending half was worth it. My favorite characters have always been Reigen, Tome, and Ritsu, so Tome being best girl is only natural for me. XD I really hope they also do the Reigen volume as an OVA or something. We *neeeeed* this closure~!

I’m currently watching the season and, while it’s better than ever, I’m simply never going to fully understand why it’s as unbelievably popular as it is. It’s amazing a lot of the times, like Dimples fight in the air was just unreal, the character writing for mob is great, and Reagan and some of the side characters are extremely memorable. But I just…I just don’t get why people say it’s a top 5 show for them. No hate towards it but can someone tell me why it’s a masterpiece to them?

@Dishal well for one, while I do like some of the side characters, a majority of the main cast is pretty OneNote and not memorable. The show also had a really bad habit where in the first two seasons it would just drop several new characters into the plot and expect you to feel how important they were, and I just never felt it. Like I’m fine with a show with a small cast, but for me it’s like one wrote the story to have a big cast but never put forth the time to make that work. Also the world building and wacky aspects of the universe are, while charming, a little under explored considering the entire story takes place in basically one location. The big thing that has always confused me a little bit was that this story is simultaneously a slice of life about an awkward boy trying to be excepted by the world around him, but also an epic story about Espers and huge action set pieces. I love both of those aspects of the show but I kind of think that they get in the way of each other. Like I said before the show is really really good, but I’ve just never been able to understand why people think it’s great. It’s gotten better and better over the years, but even now that we’re at the end of the story almost, I still don’t think it’s on up there with death note, attack on Titan, Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, bebop, Tokyo ghoul (manga) Baccano, Stiens Gate or even other slice of life high school character studies like a silent voice and your name. Like I said before I’m here for a civil conversation about this and I don’t want people to think I’m talking down on the show just because it’s popular. I’ve been watching since it came out and never felt the unreal hype people were tossing towards it

I feel like it's because you're looking at it at a wrong perspective, like you said it is mainly a slice of life and I do kinda agree with that. MP100 for me has never been that typical shonen, it is always a character driven story about Mob and his development. Also I would like to point out what you said with the characters being one-note and I disagree with that. Every character that has interacted with Mob also developed like him and you can see it all through out the seasons for example: Reigen tho you can still say he's a fraud or whatever but you can clearly see how he changed if you'll compare him to season 1 Reigen to now. Same with the other characters like Teru, Ritsu, Dimple, the Claw members etc. and for me that is what sets MP100 apart others, it's the writing, the way the characters are developed all through out. And the story is always and has been about Mob growing, trying to understand and control his emotions and understanding that even if he has this godly esper powers he is just the same as everyone, he is not special because all of us also has something we are the best at and I really admire how One used this story of Mob and he even used the concept of espers to convey that message all through out the story. For me the creative way of how One tried to convey this is what makes me rate this a top 5 show ever.

AND I totally forgot how much I respect and love the Body improvement club, hell, they were the first thing I loved about the show. Also last thing, we have 2 episodes left, and maybe these last 2 can wrap things up in a way that really makes me see the whole thing different.

Also i'm not trying to like say that this should also be in your top 5, we all have different taste in media so I understand if you still think that way, I'm just actually trying to show a different perspective or how I actually view the story :) Also yeah I agree the Body Improvement club is the best!
