But, what if I told you, there is a small part of Dhaka that caters to the ultra-wealthy. Well, today I"m going to show you the area, known as Gulshan which has all the needs to cater for a luxurious lifestyle. No he doesn’t. As much as I love Nadir but he doesn’t know most of the things in Dhaka. Like Luke was bargaining with socks-seller. He just stood there and let Luke buy a 30tk pair of socks at 100tk. Not just this incident, I saw a lot of times he couldn’t answer simple questions asked by Luke. I get that Nadir doesn’t live in Dhaka but at least he could do is to be aware and know abt the city where he is becoming a guide for his friend.

Gulshan was just like a part of European city 30 years ago - very clean, less traffic , less crowded, very open , big avenues lined with big green trees and big lakes with crystal clear water. It was the area for foreign embassy, residence for the diplomats, foreigners working or representative of international organizations and so called 'elite' of Bangladesh. Now it looks like any other part of the modern Dhaka city.
