Yes, the English Staffy is probably the worst protection dog in the world, unless it has to protect you from other dogs.. On the other hand, they are one of the easiest dogs to train, they are loving and loyal,,, or at least they are my experience with the breed

I believe that, every so often, a person finds that perfect animal that changes both their lives. Cricket is that, no doubt. As you said, she's your soulmate. You had a connection from the moment you saw her, and she felt the same about you. The love is absolute. I had a soulmate, too, and she was my unofficial therapy dog. I had spinal surgery in 2000, and my doctor wanted me to get out and walk. So, for motivation, I went to the pound and there she was, in a pen with three other dogs, all jumping and barking, except her. She was sitting at the front of the pen just looking at me and, when I put my hand up to the fencing, she just gave me this soft kiss, still no barking, but she was wagging her tail so hard that her butt was an inch off the ground. I think she chose me as much as I chose her. She's been gone awhile now, but she'll always have a little piece of my heart. I know you feel the same about Cricket. I know you will have many years together, filled with love and adventure. God Bless!

What a beautiful girl. Rescues know. Their grateful and show it every minute of every day. God has blessed you both with each other. I too am a disabled Veteran with PTSD, and also have a white rescue dog. He's an American Fox Hound. I didn't have to train him, he just instinctively knew what to do. Helps me center when I have panic attacks. So much more. The unconditional love of a dog can't be matched. Thank you for caring, and saving that sweet girl.

She's beautiful! We picked up our dog from a shelter and was told he was an adult Pit Bull. We took him to a vet and was told he was a puppy, but still a Pit Bull. Rockefeller's disposition was so sweet, I couldn't believe it and had his DNA tested. Turns out he was 100% American Staffordshire Terrior, the sweetest boy. He stayed by my side during the entire course of my cancer treatment...surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. He was there for me and I don't think my recovery and remission would have gone as well as it did without him. He was diagnosed with Cushing's disease and we went through a surgery for him to give him a chance at a better quality of life. It gave him a few more months, but when discussing it with his doctor she told me it was time and the best thing for him. You have a precious gift, enjoy the love and joy she brings you every single minute of every single day. You are extremely fortunate to have found each other. ❤
