I really like how Jamie is not that noticable from the get go. He was pretty forgettable in the first episodes, but he slowly enters the viewers' mind like how he enters Claire's. And it is such a little thing, I don't know if it's on purpose, but I love that. Edit: I'm pretty dense about these stuff, usually I won't notice this on my own. I'm happy many people think the same and apparently it is intentional!

I saw on an interview the producer said that in the book he was like very important and like easy to say he's the main character from the start it was to much so in the series they changed that, they did it on purpose

their wedding night episode is also amazing! you could see and feel the hesitation from Claire, see how there's a force working between them and how she was trying to fight it. on one hand, she didn't want to sleep with him but knew she had to, she was in a conflict with herself and her heart. her heart felt the force and moment by moment she was being drawn towards Jamie. it's like a transition period for Claire where she becomes Jamie's soulmate from Mrs. Randall.

Dunno where I've been for the last several years, as I just recently discovered this show in mid December of 2020. In the space of the past 3 weeks I have watched AND rewatched the entire 5 seasons. Jesus H Roosevelt Christ what an amazing show! Caitriona Balfe's performance in particular keeps me glued to the screen. What a powerhouse of a character Claire is - strenghts and flaws and all. Wow! Thank you to everyone involved in making this gem of a show! I am now transitioning into my very first "droughtlander" experience. Buckle up...

What is unusual about this story is that Jamie didn't show up as the typical knight in shining armor. Some else saved Claire from Randall in the forest( i forgot who), and it was Dougal who ensured her safety up until when Randall Started beating her after the dinner with the redcoats. Ironically, it was Claire who kept on helping Jamie, first from the dislocation up until he got sick from the infected wound. Janie even fainted during the horse ride.

What I miss in the late seasons is...Jamies curly hair 😭 but they said that he wears a wig in the later seasons to protect his real hair from bleaching and dyeing 😪
