When Francis stuffed the first takedown I just wanted the fight to end right there to avoid unnecessary damage. I just don't see how anyone can beat Francis if he fights this smart, patient and technical. It's unreal.

That's exactly what will discourage Jones from picking this fight. Francis will be comfortable to trade punches within close range and while breaking a clinch. Francis is a monster.

When Francis decided to wrestle, Stipe was on his back and his hands on the floor. Leaving his neck unprotected. Any fighter with an average fifth Iq would of gone for a rare naked choke and finish the fight. Francis decided to hit Stipe on the ears and chin Instead. Leaving an opportunity for Stipe to get back up and escape at that moment. And he did just that. Fight Iq of Francis Is still obvious and so is his cardio. They are both his weaknesses. And his chin Is questionable. He dosen't get hit much. Because he starts attacking his opponents the soon as the fight starts, using his speed and explosiveness and finish the fight by the end of round 2.

@nuclearlefthook5008
@nuclearlefthook5008 3 жыл бұрын
100%. He wasn't remotely hurt. Slowing down and watching it back, you can tell his eyes are on Stipe the entire time. The "wobble" was him taking two steps to get into position, because he landed squared up after getting hit. He took one step, which left him almost cross legged, then another step to get into position. And he immediately countered Stipe with accuracy and power. So yeah, he was NOT hurt.

However, in this re-match, NGANNOU brought back some memories; the 'Octagon version of brutal, vicious Mike Tyson'; he's just getting started with pummelling his opponents into oblivion, there's much more to come from this beast of a fighter!

@stonbinoscope andré but the way Ngonnou approached the fight he didn't give any opening for takedown so Miocic was forced to stand up. This caused panick. Stipe just knocked him off balance and mistook it for Francis being rocked. I see what happened now. It happened too fast the first time I didnt see it. Who knows maybe Stipe will come back..I'm sure Jon will beat Francis and Stipe both to be honest. I have no idea. Caine and Jr in their prime could get it done but.. Francis like many others comes along too strong and powerful after the old warriors are too far past their prime. It is what it is..eventually itll happen to Francis as well. That's the fight Game. I do believe Jon will beat him tho.

Freight train VS Nissan Altima. Added to that, some fight intel....It was already a done deal from the first bell. And Francis is still yet to reach his peak....scary.

Ngannou learnt from his mistakes , improved his technique and pacing and planned for a fight with his opponent, a fight he had obsessed over for 3 years. Even in interviews he says the Stipe loss changed him. Stipe was here to fight the same guy he had fought the first time. he stood no chance, Francis had been in a match with Stipe for 3 years.

Francis just need now to practice jujitsu , Karate and other martial arts. Take downs, submissions etc. . just like Usman who improves all aspects of his game

You are very right and correct... Immediately he got Stipe back kneeling , I thought Francis will be going for submission instead he chooses to box around... The match will have been ended in first round if he gone for submission

Tbh low kicks and high kick that Francis threw are looking really awkward. Not trying to discredit him in anyway but torso rotation is minimal and his leg is pulling all his body into it like a hip lock not to mention center rotation on standing leg when you throwing high kick. I'm a big fan of Cro Cop and was watching him since K1 days in 90's and all those guys who were trowing leg kicks did it perfectly, and maybe I'm harsh comparing him with K1 strikers where you have to be almost perfect with leg kicks. Francis leg kicks are powerful but technically not that good.
