I find it so funny and cute how excited she got at that super faint line cause when it happened to me i fully didnt trust it but it was 11pm so i tossed and turned all night until the drugstore opened and ran to buy a digital test that just said pregnant or not to be certain 🤣

lol same here , we weren't actively trying though so I didn't believe two strong lines. Must have gone through 5 cheapies , one normal boots one and a digital clear blue. When I saw the weeks and word pregnant it started to settle in my mind 😂

Oh my gosh, seeing the tests get darker and it saying “pregnant” gives me goosebumps, i had so many negative tests for so long, when I finally saw a positive one I felt like I had won every lottery all at once, now my little miracle is 3 😊

Same and just when hubby and i decided to stop actively trying..... Well christmas night came and lo and behold i found my self pregnant against all odds (PCOS and Endo, 2 miscarriages, 1 D&C told by multiple Drs and specialists) and against all those issues we found ourselves expecting a sweet baby. My whole pregnancy was high risk and after a certain point they had to sew my cervix shut so she wouldn't slip out prematurely. After the longest and painful pregnancy where i was on bedrest and all for her to be born August 24,2020 when her due date was September 24,2020. My princess was born blue and not breathing (hospitals fault as i was supposed to be an auto c-section but the nurse practitioner insisted that I push. After 38 agonizing hours 2 of which i spent actively trying to push her out she was finally out and placed on my belly. She was blue and not breathing so the NICU. Team took her from us stimulated her and we finally heard the faintest cry. They rushed her out and stitched up my 3rd degree tear all while i didnt know what was wrong with my bab. Sbe spent 24 days in the NICU with pulmonary hypertension of the new born and a broken clavicle. 🥺

I couldn't see the lines on the first day and I was so frustrated thinking "What is Bryony looking at?!" It must have been the camera though. I'm petrified of ever falling pregnant and carrying a child- just not something I can cope with but here I am crying with happiness for you 🥲🥲 Massive congrats (even though we already knew)!! 🤰🏻🎉

Congratulations! It's one of the best feelings seeing a positive pregnancy test. I love seeing the lines and remembering the feelings of excitement and joy when I saw my positive tests when I was pregnant. Now my babies are 22, 20, and 14! Time flies by. Now I get to wait for when my daughters have babies. I think it will be wonderful.

Exciting times! My son is 8 and it really does only seem like a few months ago lol I loved the excitement of pregnancy not so much the physical symptoms but the excitement is the best and it never stops even after they're born then your excited about each milestone and how proud you are of this human you have basically grown, becoming their own person. Wow, congratulations! I had watched your menstrual cup videos and was watching your one about postpartum pads because I'm 32 weeks with my twins as a solo parent, then I saw this! I had IVF and I waited the 12 days before I tested, and because it was twins, it was bright and immediate because the HCG was so high. Congrats again!

Congratulations! I had that weird pelvic pain too when I was early in my pregnancy (which ended in a healthy, live birth). Like, about as bad as period pain. It was awful.

So I never really comment on peoples' videos but now I just have to. I had tears in my eyes when you showed the clear blue test saying "pregnant". I am so happy for you and also your mums reaction was so precious. Argh, made my day. And I still remember you talking about menstrual cups and really motivating my 16-year-old-me to go against the mainstream and try this (back than) rather unconventional form of menstrual hygiene. i'm sure you know this by now, but for others who may also experience this, implantation can cause a cramping feeling much like menstrual cramps. you might have been experiencing that as well as bowel issues. i looked up the bascopan and its not fda approved in the states. sounds like it could be a wonderful product for someone with ibs.

I had that pain too and it was like contractions, I ended up in early pregnancy unit having a scan and they didn't really have an answer but all was well. After having 2 those pains were like the first contractions I had (past 4cm both times so "proper" contractions and they don't get much worse, just longer and closer together... so ya know, you can do this!)

Lol. Funny how people rely on those digital tests for confirmation when they have the same info as the line (I might be wrong but I think it’s just the same HCG test). It’s so exciting to see it as a word though. Whomever designed those tests is forever going to be well off also as they aren’t cheap! Lol. The preg test industry is so crazy expensive.

It's amazing to have a blood test and all that, when getting pregnant "the traditional way" basically the GP and midwives take an over the counter test and proof and you have no contact with them till 10+ weeks of pregnancy. I personally booked a private scan at 6 weeks to check viability, but yeah, it's not the best!

I love that you have such excellent parents!! Though we know I still have to be all woohoo congrats and yeah the second test was darker and so on. Lol. It’s just so cool, this process and such an exciting time. The actual pregnancy from what I hear, not so much. Lol. Hang in there and I hope this trimester is less difficult on you. You would make an excellent scientist or doctor also with your intellect and interest in the details of the process. And there is still plenty of your life to continue to develop yourself, small human along for the ride or not. You’ve proven that with good functionality and support with fosters around. I took about 7 for mine as the bloke was 50 and me nearly 40 and he told me he had a vesectomy. Which obviously failed. I'm now 34 weeks pregnant. I didn't lose my virginity till I was 36 as I had anxiety most of my life. Sadly the guy I trusted hasn't spoken to me since I told him I was pregnant!. I'm due in about 3 weeks I think. At a stage where it's the dad's loss if he doesn't want to be involved x

I have to give you credit. I could not do this constant testing for myself. It would drive me insane and my pockets dry. I’m doing the SMBC as well and just had my transfer a few days ago. I have chosen to let it run its course and get tested at the doctors office. Once I do get my results and if it’s positive then I’ll go get a test or two to take and keep for keepsakes. I know the anticipation is torture. For now lots of meditation, reiki and praying to keep me occupied. But I’m so excited for you and I’m invested in your journey. I’ve been watching you for years and can’t wait to see what the future has in store. Blessings x

Welcome to pregnancy, unfortunately for some of us the constipation stays, if you find the same get yourself some lactulose. Around 7ml twice a day worked wonders for me (my doc prescribed a starting dose of 15ml twice a day but gosh that was wayyyy too much for me). It's safe to use long term in pregnancy unlike the other options (eg fybogel and dulcoease).

Talk about a blast from my own tests 20 years ago! Did about 5 , all different ones, held every one up to the light , wiggled them about! So funny to remember. Despite us trying for only 3 months and me being a super professional person with a degree!, ! I also did as my best friend said and we chatted away for a good half hour after sex as I stretched out my legs up the wall! Urban myth has to start somewhere right!

When I was first starting my family 23 years ago, Taking a pregnancy test didn't usually happen until a missed period and often even longer than that. We would get a positive or negative & proceed accordingly. It's crazy how many tests there are now days & hoe many people take. (In some cases I do see why! I'm not judging just speaking from the past!) My first pregnancy symptom was always extremely tender boobs. With all my babies. I knew the night we tried I was pregnant.....

Don't worry about others- I know we are on the opposite sides of the spectrum with our age but- you and bubba are healthy and happy that's all that matters. You're going to be a wonderful mother! Hi Briony, I’m 24 weeks pregnant and just found out in the last 2 weeks that you shouldn’t take buscopan safely in pregnancy (I also didn’t know this and had been using them for bowel pain) but instead they can prescribe you some peppermint capsules that work for bowel pain too x

Just in case someone sees this comment - it's worth noting that the digital test is no more accurate than the cheap paper strips. All it is is the same paper strip inside of a plastic case with a camera and small computer which reads the line! So probably don't bother spending money on those. You eyes most likely work just as well as some tiny camera, so unless you have some sort of vision issue and no one to help, it's probably not worth it.
