The problem is that the Lakers don't match up well with Denver, particularly if Jarred Vanderbuilt is unavailable. I think the Clippers match up better with Denver than the Lakers. The Clippers have big bodies that they can throw at Nikola Jokic, in fact Ivaca Zubac matches up against Jokic better than anyone on the Laker's roster. Anthony Davis used to kill Nikola Jokic in their head to head matchups, but now it is the other way around. Nikola Jokic may not be very athletic but he has a very big body and phenominal basketball skills. He kind of reminds me of a slightly more athletic version of the former Portland Trailblazer Center Arvydas Sabonis. I remember back in the 90s Arvydas Sabonis was a very difficult matchup even for Shaq, because he was able to draw him away from the basket and shoot the 3 point shot as well as scoring in the low post. He was a very good passer, which made it hard for the Lakers to defend back in the mid to late 90s.

I don't think the Lakers have a revenge mindset, I wish they did but they don't. This team doesn't have the type of leadership either on the court from Lebron, or on the bench from Ham to have that mindset.
