In reality it was her fault for not realizing where the timers were. In the jumper arena where time is the essence we are told to pay extremely close attention to where the timer line is. If we pass it the clock has started regardless if we’re ready or not- there’s no do over. If nerves got to her then ok but it was still her fault. I’ve fucked up championship rounds because nerves got to me. I never asked for a redo- that’s the nature of the sport.

That's the rules, as a rider you learn them as a kid... Forgetting them at the Olympics should have consequences. I am a rider and I remember that after that event our coaches would always always remind us of that rule.
