Did you go to Gaztelugatxe? I don’t think you were in the north. It’s about 45 minutes from our house. Next time you visit we can record the txalaparta there or on a mountain top.

I am not a GofT fan, but that is a great idea got a vacation. I would be interested is seeing how you recorded the sounds and IR of the staircase and cathedral.

Yea, you don't have to be a fan to appreciate the history or the natural beauty of the locations. As far as recording, it was all done with my iPhone mic. You can get pretty good recordings on them these days. For the IRs, I just record a hand clap in the room and make sure I get all of the natural reverb decay. Then I drop the hand clap into the Hybrid Reverb in Ableton Live. It's a very easy way to make your own reverbs. And bonus tip, try dragging any sample of anything into Hybrid Reverb... crazy stuff happens!
