Ur vids are so much fun! And yeah, I think painting is perhaps a rewards based process, more so than other arts. I have a friend who is a visual artist who works in oil and incorporates 3D elements, recently she made a vid of her working on a piece and it was so difficult and frustrating for her that she was cussing like a Tennessee truck driver throughout the whole vid! Lol, we all had a good laugh over that, yeah, I think the process is hard for everybody with that medium. Thank u for sharing your process, you are quite the Renaissance person- fashion, music, visual art! You go, girl! And I think your thoughts on the relation between social media and the patience needed for art-making are very insightful. BTW, you're never predictable!💕

in french we have a nursery rhyme that translate into "oil painting is pretty difficult, but it's much more beautiful than water-based paint" 😅 it's good that you tried it and if it's not for you then something else will be! also I would maybe recommend trying out a smaller canvas first, it will be less overwhelming 🖤 love your videos, they are so aesthetically pleasing too!

Ya its instant gratification... that why people play pickle ball over tennis. Tennis is much harder to learn takes years to master whereas pickleball is easy to pickup.

Have you tried gouache paint yet? It has give and can be chunked up for textured/gestural vibes n is forgiving. You can reactivate it with water. The pigment is chalk so water based!! You can practice watercolor effects with it too

U need more ventilation like a fan and a door open occasionally!!! Careful of turpentines as well. Reward was so worth it lol❤❤
