Thank you for this. I am deeply fond of Asian mythology and the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter or the Tale of Kaguya-hime is one of my favorite stories. I actually love the use of puppets and colored paper for the backgrounds here! It shows that dedication was taken seriously here.

Its not inspired. The Ghibli film is literally a retelling of the bamboo cutter.

Yes, this the Coronet Film story that I saw in 1968-69 at my elementary school(before the 1st major sandstone building in Calgary and now a government office building)😁

These parts of the shining princess/moonbeam princess has never been told anywhere... i swear... 😮😮😊😊 11:36: Princess Kaguya's face... as she saw the twig made by the servants and not been found in a long way... 😮😮😊😊 So, Princess Kaguya, rightly, was little, she because she was so careless about the goddess's flowers and because one day she destroyed the goddess beautiful flowerbed, the emperor of the moon decided the punish her by sending her to earth, am i ain't right ? 🤔🤔😮😮
