IT WAS.. Our resident Romulan Costumer plays that part.. Whenever asked to do a scene, he BRINGS IT!.. He will be playing the Squadron Commander in an upcoming WWII time travel episode of "Project Runabout". .We asked him to just pretend to give a briefing to a bunch of pilots, and when the cameras rolled, he had a WHOLE BIT ready for us.. It was TRULY impressive... Look for Thomas Dye again in the future in our 2022 Upcoming spin-off "Warbird Valadore". We'll be using him more instead of comic relief as he REALLY needs to be taken seriously sometimes as he's a SUPER guy and terrific actor for our productions!

Well done! But a detail of the Soyuz, in the story Cosmonaut Bogdanov states they were already reentering atmosphere, in which case, much like Apollo, the only part that would have been left would have been the crew capsule, the much smaller rounded cone shape module in the center section of the craft. All else would have already been jettisoned and discarded well before the actual reentry attempt and the center reentry capsule would return to Earth with a heat shield much like the Apollo (and other capsules). But fun anyway!

We're all amateurs as well.. We just have fun, and try to tell a story. However, we DO appreciate your input!.. Also there is not much space in the soyuz decent module which I is the part of the spacecraft that I assume that the cosmonauts were in due to the fact that they were trying to reenter the earth's atmosphere so it would make more sense to have them beamed aboard in a semi fetal position as if they were still in their chairs.
@jebkerman7199
@jebkerman7199 2 жыл бұрын
The spacecraft itself is believable however and it makes a lot of sense that it would have the ability to self destruct if it didn't land anywhere in russia as the soviets would not want the US to know that it had been working on a moon mission. I also assume that this launched after the N-1 program ended as a last ditch effort to beat the United States to the moon as the apollo 11 mission was a few months away at that point. It would also seem that the spacecraft itself could detect that it wasn't in space using whatever power it had left as it didn't self destruct for 300 years. The primitive computers on the Soyuz could tell that the spacecraft was not in Russia and not in space so the self destruct sequence that had not been cancelled 300 years prior started and the thing eventually exploded moments after being tractored out of the hangar deck

@@jebkerman7199 You've got a very good eye, sir! And a love of history! I appreciate that! Actually, we didn't know exactly how they would have been positioned, but I figured they would have been seated and their hands might have been floating out in front of them. So we positioned them with their knees bent and their hands outstretched. By the way, if you watch closely, you'll see one of their legs moving. (that's a tough position to hold!) LOL There are a few historical and logical problems, I freely admit it. For instance, the entire craft would not have tried to re-enter Earth's atmosphere. Only the Command module most likely,. So it should have been only the command module we found. Also, there (most likely) would have been 3 Cosmonauts aboard. Where was the 3rd? We said that there was an extra module to house the lunar lander , but the model we used was the standard model - as it was in the 60's (We hope) Almost all of those choices were made to keep the budget down. If we had a $20,000 budget instead of a fraction of that, we probably would have gotten all that stuff right. But we just had to do the best we could with what we had and hope the historians would understand and that the viewers would still enjoy the story. Thanks for watching! Hope the inaccuracies didn't keep you from enjoying the story entirely.
@jebkerman7199
@jebkerman7199 2 жыл бұрын
@@dreadnoughtdominion8988 That was really the only issue that I had with this. As for the fact that the entire craft was there that might have been part of what went wrong as the explosive bolts that would have separated the rest of the craft from the decent stage might not have fired correctly or at all. In the end the fact that the Soyuz bounced off of the atmosphere instead of re entering might have saved the life of the surviving cosmonaut!
@jebkerman7199
@jebkerman7199 2 жыл бұрын
As for the lunar module I just assumed that it was docked to the Soyuz and that the crew would do a small EVA to enter the lunar module as if I recall correctly there was no hatch that would have allowed the crew to enter the lunar module or another docked Soyuz without doing so on the original 7K-OK

@gdavisohio
@gdavisohio 2 жыл бұрын
GLAD you liked it!.. Yes. we had fun with the Hangar Bay!.. As for the LT transferring.. aside from that this made the scene a "surprise".. its not completely out of the realm of possibility that the Captain wasn't aware of the transfer "at the time". It may have been in his morning staff update that he hadn't had the chance to read. We can't really know the exact administrative procedure that an officer in Starfleet goes through for transfers.. However, it is safe to assume that the LT's Department Head not only knew of the transfer, but approved it. We never specified her function, and she could been in a department overseen by Quincy himself.. He stated he was there to see Alexi off.. but he arrived with the LT.. so he could have been escorting her to her next assignment.

@@dominonmedia298 You didn’t answer the question. Your plot device has a 300 year old Russian cosmonaut being revived and they want to pass him off as another species. Why? Why can’t he be himself? @@lesliedavid1244 OHHH.. I see.. The character had a great deal of pride in him and even though attitudes have changed since the 20th century, he was still worried that returning home would be construed as a "failure" of his countrymen from the time. It was the reason that they had the self destruct. If the mission was a failure, they destroy the craft and no one knew that the attempt had failed. The writer even put in a line stating that, attitudes may have changed, but our Russian LT remarked, " .. I could be wrong..".. PLUS, it was just a cool story device and a way for us to mention one of our favorite villains from an episode .. KATAKA!!
