Hello from Omaha. They were so industrious that they planted crops and built a mill at Winter Quarters, in what is now north Omaha. The Florence Mill building is still standing. Excellent presentation. Thanks.

Not only a fair telling of the LDS migration west, but at times moving and beautiful. Well done.

My great great grandmother was an eye witness to these events. This is my dear family history. Daughter of the Utah pioneers.

In the late 1950's, I went to Florence Grade School. A block away to the south was a park that had been the Winter Quarters. We used to find buckles and buttons under the swings and teeter totters.

Such beautiful video production! If you did the whole history of the church it would sound amazing like this. Story of Joseph Smith is the most interesting story in American history, up there with George Washington, yet Americans do not claim Joseph Smith at all, it's a tragedy!

Good scholarship, but you should talk to a LDS scholar to get a notion of how to pronounce names.

Why does the walrus have so many views on each video but a low sub count?! That BS.... His research is subscription worthy....I am LDS and I know that my churches history is not perfect. I do believe that J.Smith was a soldier for God and Jesus in the spiritual war that has always ALWAYS been an issue within the American elite. Think about it, the native Americans that were here were spiritual and had a true connection with mother earth which can be interpreted as God or a "higher power" and the connection that they had can be interpreted as faith. The feds came after them. Then the Amish had some issues with the feds. I don't believe that polygamy is a righteous act/belief but the feds came after the "fundies" (fundamental LDS). Then the feds hunted the Mormons in this video making a hero out of Smith, Young and the like...look at the Waco situation...you cant tell me there isn't a war on spirituality, faith, Christianity, JUDAISM anyone with faith in a higher power. Thank you for your work you have inspired me to start my own history KZbin channel.

All religions are accepted except Christianity. That's because we acknowledge that we're ordered to obey our government right up until that government tells us to do anything contrary to God's written Word. See it? Christians acknowledge a higher authority than our government, and of course governments want total control over all their subjects.

The Mormon bible has underwent over 860 major changes in it's history, as one example the Mormon church didn't allow Black people to join their church all the way up until 1978. Taken as a whole that is some very damming evidence that the Mormon bible was written by a man with a lust for all the women he could hump and live like royalty. There is only one God, he has only one Son and only one bible. The next-to-last paragraph of the 66 Book canon of the Kings James Version gives a severe warning to any who "Add To or Take Away" from this book that was written by men who were inspired by God's Holy Spirit. It is unique in every way and it makes clear that man is flawed and will never be able to govern himself, we must acknowledge our creator and follow his son Jesus. Joseph Smith is now in a place so bad that Jesus said, cut off your foot, pluck out your eye, whatever you have to do, don't go there.

Talk about being highly misinformed. 1st by talking of minor grammatical edits, and then confusing it with the Priesthood ban which you claim “didn’t allow black people in the church” which isn’t true. Just look up “Elijah Abel” and such a claim is easily disproven. You claim that Joseph made the Church to get with women and live like royalty when from the start he was persecuted intensely having been tarred and feathered multiple times. Also he only ever had children with his wife Emma. Instead of blathering false claims about the Church you should read the Book of Mormon for yourself and pray about it with a sincere heart.

Also Deuteronomy 4:2 in the Old Testament says “Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.“ So by your logic everything after Deuteronomy should not be considered legitimate scripture.

EVERYONE ON THIS THREAD... ☝🏻you cannot say that King James didn't eliminate scriptures he did not personally see fit to be included in the KJV of the Holy Bible🤷🏻♀️ 😊The Book of Mormon is NOT A BIBLE...it is another group of scriptures that supports the Holy Bible, NOT adds to OR replaces it!!! 💁🏻♀️Do your research..visit with the older LDS missionaries...pray to Heavenly Father...your answers are on the pages of BOTH the KJV Holy Bible AND the Book of Mormom👍🏻
