I didn't know I just have to get to the finish line before them, why do people keep telling me that I have to have more pace or a better car, I didn't know that the only thing I have to do is get past them lol, thanks for letting me know bro, I got you

@JacksRacingProjects I actually checked him because I was impressed and found out two things. 1, he got convicted for fraud 💀. I guess it is the bare minimum for pay drivers in IMSA, atleast he didn't scam people with short term loans lol. And 2, he did win a few races with he Lola LMP1! It was an LMP1 but I wonder if it was an overall victory because of the porsche's. couldnt find anything

With all the ALMS content in the early Forza games, it's kind of baffling that the only Intersport car in the series was an LMPC car from right around the end of their involvement. You *can* drive the iconic Very Berry Exotics car in the original GRID, though. As for the whole thing about their car being 20 MPH faster than anything else in the field at Mosport, it makes sense, because that 2009 Acura it was competing against was so much of a downforce-focused car that they didn't even bother taking it to Le Mans. Yes, there *was* such a thing as a *Le Mans* Prototype that was never designed for Le Mans. Looks like the only other P1 in that field was the Autocon Lola. I think they also ran AER engines most of the time, albeit in what looks like an older version of the Lola chassis, but still, you'd think they wouldn't have the same straight line deficit in such similar equipment even if they clearly had deficiencies elsewhere.
@JacksRacingProjectsАй бұрын
Autocon I believe was running the old Dyson cars. Intersport purchased a Lola after running the creation. They should have added more cars from those grids, but the intersport cars were never competitive in this era outside the first 5 minutes. Once the P2’s got up to speed it was game over for them.
@josephcote7702Ай бұрын
so was his whole schtick just starting on soft tires when everyone else started on hards just so he can be the quickest for the first couple of laps while the competition's tires are still warming up?
@crimson764Ай бұрын
Nah, his Lola had Turbos (making about 700bhp) in it just like the Audis did with the Turbo Diesels (they were at roughly 650bhp, but had lots of torque in comparison to the field). And at a track like Miller in Utah (first clip) where the air is dense and the straight is long to let loose that horsepower, it suited those turbocharged LMP1 cars massively over the naturally aspirated and lighter LMP2s (Porsche and Acura).
@JacksRacingProjectsАй бұрын
The Dunlop tires his team used were better at getting warm, but the Michelins were better long term. The field was also comprised of two different classes competiting for overall wins. The lmp2’s were way lighter, but had smaller engines. But you can see even in the last clip at Daytona, he didn’t have a power advantage there, he just doesn’t care at the starts and sends it.
@regibson23Ай бұрын
@@crimson764the air is thin at Miller. That's why the turbo worked well there. They had to start doing race specific bop for just the high altitude tracks.

Is that a seat for a passenger?
@JacksRacingProjectsАй бұрын
So the closed tops technically do as well. But these cars technically require space for 2 seats. Today’s hypercars are technically two seaters.
@medic53067Ай бұрын
It’s a requirement in Sports Car racing. Even in Prototypes. I’m sure a 5 year old couldn’t sit in it, but that rule has been that way since the 1960’s.
@regibson23Ай бұрын
Well yeah he's scorching the tires and probably on the soft compound. Exciting to watch the first few laps but pretty silly from a strategy perspective.
@JacksRacingProjectsАй бұрын
When your car is 3 seconds a lap slower in race pace, it’s what you do. He wasn’t specifically using a soft tire, the dunlops tires he used were better at getting temp, but the Michelins once they got to temp were just way better.
@freshseth8325Ай бұрын
@@JacksRacingProjectsDunlop didn't have nearly the budget for their tires either. Michelin would go on forever while Dunlops would fall off in the stints
