i am familiar with the guys at i buy power, in fact i am familiar with many of these people in the industry as ive worked in it as well, evga and thermaltake to name a few, a personal friend of mine was the marketing manager for thermaltake until recently and now he works with avadirect with his product being currently shown at ces, i know my way around the biz. i can tell you from input the number of cases they would sell would be quadruple that of complete pc's, who knows tho, may may or may not do it, depends on their level of motivation.
@Poseidenfan
@Poseidenfan 8 жыл бұрын
StatTrak™ Tagged 99 Not necessarily. Yea, they'd make more money per sale, but not many will buy this PC just for the panel. You'll just get the small number of PC gamers whom buy prebuilt PC's. Selling it separately, however, opens up a new opportunities. You'll have people flocking from all ends of the PC community, both custom builders, and prebuilt buyers.

Kappi1997 This one isn't priced expensively.. Unless you can't hurt your ego and always have to assemble it yourself. It's $1800, with a GTX 1070, i7 7700k, 800w PSU and what looks like an MSI Z270 Titanium. Water cooling, 800w PSU, LED Lighting and Custom Sleeved Cables. $1799? I wish I bought this one instead of the one I built.

I did this for a lan-party by myself a couple years ago (asuming it must have been around 2004). I just took a old Laptop (the whole thing) and stripped it down to the mainboard and the panel and used Winamp with just a random song and the visualisation plugin. It almost looked like this - but I'm pretty sure my memories now are more romantic than exact :)

i m the owner of an ibuypower element custom PC and i ve been loving it since it arrived a month ago. this company is legit. i dont even understand how they make profits given their prices compared to the price of just the parts bought separately if you were to build the equivalent system yourself. and even then the negligible difference it ll take for them to assemble everything gets you access to stuff that builders dont get like.. well the element case which i have and now this gorgeous project that is snowblind. rock on ibuypower, you guys are the best!

If you use a common panel, finding a super cheap driver board is easy. And it's also easy to bond it to the side panel of any tempered glass case that's big enough if you have access to a steamy bathroom, no clean room needed. You could make a custom plexiglass side panel to bond it to as well.

Actually, it wouldn't be hard to do this yourself. Go to your local recycling center and see if they have any laptops or lcd panels that people have left. You can find interface boards for most panels used in laptops (thanks to standards like LVDS, DSI, and the like). Taking the backlight portion doesn't require a clean room either. Just be careful not to bend the LCD panel itself when separating the two. In fact I might use it with a Raspberry Pi in my case this year.

What would be perfect with this idea is a layer of electrochromic glass right behind the display that will turn opaque with a switch on the case which will allow to block light from the interior and let you use the screen normally, and then switch it back to the beauty of your components.

Also the added bonus of not being transparent if wanted by config.

Was planning on buying a separate similar case and building my own custom pc with just transferring the side panel, but it seems this one has hinges while the original case has captive thumb screws. I had this idea around 15 years ago, but no money to tear apart an LCD for it. This would have been back before widescreen was a thing, hell gaming on LCDs was barely a thing. I was going to have a bracket behind it that you could slip a diffuser in and actually use it as a monitor for LANs if you needed to.

Using the GPIO to measure certain things like heat via multible thermometers, airflow, HDD usage (via the HDD light), Ethernet traffic (via the eterhnet cable...connected through a Opto) and various other things from USB informations. I wanted as many sensors as i can have seperate from the main computers sensors. In the end i didnt really finish it...because i have been playing Hearts of Iron and Darksouls...also its a pricy project...the OLED is NOT Cheap.

Try the card in a friend's PC. If the same thing occurs you have a dud card or it's at the end of its life. Either return it / warranty it or trash it. Another thing would be to double check your power connections, it could be getting starved if there's a dead hookup. More than likely a bad card though.

Thanks for the reply sir. It only happens occasionally sir, and there's a beep sound and a color red led on my mobo when this happens. Is this a sign that my gpu is dying? Thanks!

Is the LED labeled, or does it have a marking near it? (If you still have the manual, it will sometimes outline which LED stands for what error when lit) What type of motherboard? Generally beeping followed by LED light ups is a code error depending on the motherboard. It rarely is a good sign. It could be that your GPU is dying and your CPU is using all its power/resources on it, causing the LED near the CPU to light up (this is just a guess, I don't know your MB error codes), but since the card is failing this is locking up your system on boot. It's most likely a dying card. If you have an Intel CPU. You might try disabling your graphics card and instead launching your computer using the on board graphics option. Restart your computer a few times, or recreate the conditions that usually lead to the problem and see if your computer still has problems without your GPU booting up. (If you've never done this before, google "Setting up BIOS boot order" for whatever type of motherboard / BIOS you use. Also look up "Booting Intel from on board graphics.) If after doing that, the computer still locks up, it may be a different problem. If the problem never shows up again, it's your GPU.

Good day sir! the LED is labeled "VGA LED". I have removed and reinstalled the GPU today and it worked fine now, and i rebooted my pc 2 times already and still no problem. I observed that every time I turn on my pc the VGA led blinks ones and this happened since the day I bought this pc, is that normal? and I will be observing this if any problem will still arise. Thank you so much for your time and assistance, thumbs up for you sir! :)

VGA is Video Graphics Array, and is directly related to your GPU, so it makes sense it would give a warning light if something was wrong. If it works fine now, chances are it was just loosely/improperly installed originally. If I were you, I would test the GPU with a benchmarking tool (such as FurMark, Novabench, etc. Choose your favorite, or look up other's recommendations) This will allow you to check if the GPU is failing under a load (when you're playing video games, or editing a video file for example) and is the best indicator that a card is dying. It will also be the best way to put your mind at ease and be sure that it's fixed after the reinstall, and not just temporarily working. If it blinks when turning on, but doesn't stay on, chances are it's just the computer running a self-check during bootup to check for errors/problems. Hope it keeps working for you mate, cheers!

They should side the side panel by itself. From what I see its a noctis 450 (the case I have) and all you need to do is buy some LED's to brighten the inside.

I normally build my own computers. My son needed a new pc so I bought a medium spec and transferred everything to a different case and keep this for myself lol. It’s pretty dope.

Does anyone have the issue where your inside panel coating sticks to the surface so it creates a warped looking effect? Does anyone know the fix? I think it was from the shipping materials pushing against the glass inside.
