I knew I was going to buy this as soon as they teased it, definitely didn't expect the price tag but I could afford it, by no means rich, just in work and live at home, this wheel will cost more than the rest of my gear put together but I don't care. I can't wait for mine to arrive, like you said its functional art, when I'm not using it, it'll be on display so I can just admire it. Now Red Bull need to follow suit because I can't lie I think they have the best steering wheel!

I’m not a huge amg fan but they are growing on me gt/F1 wise. I think more brands/ manufacturers should do this, especially those with esports teams even if it’s just for the team.

ahhh mate im so hyped for mine now more than ever!! this is a great review, and good presentation too!! edit: to add with the clutch, i find it really cool to use! it was the same set up opted for in my diy pokornyi enginerring f1 pro, single lever clutch with bite point as a button with specific setting in encoder dial

Amazing review Mike! Thanks. A cool tidbit is that the screw on the bottom in real life is used to pressure test the body for water resistance, as the real wheel needs to be watertight.

Yea I hear you it was definently missed but it’s clear this would have affected the end goal with the wheel. I found ways of using the various buttons inputs to get around it but agree not ideal.

apart from this one, the closest "real life" F1 wheel that I know would be the Bavarian SimTec Omega Pro, and its price with the custom options is not that far...

This one or that Porsche wheel as well. I say the BMW M4 GT wheel is the closest to real life since it can be used in the real M4 competition car

There is no doubt this is a top tier steering wheel. I would love to own it, but i dont think i will ever buy (not that i could afford it anyway). It has all the cool functions, but the lack of RGB buttons i find as a deal breaker as i often race at night.. Not gonna lie tho, its beautifull!!

I hear you, I would also love to own it and have it in my collection, but it's just too much right now to spend on a single wheel when I have other priorities, both personal and for the future of my setup, like a motion system, etc.

Nice rim but way too expensive, I'd rather put that money towards motion..now if I had more money then I knew what to do with definitely, though I would take a Ferrari Replica any day over Mercedes.
