Now that we've finally gotten to that point, I'd like to announce my suggestion for you guys for a future episode. During the 1993 season, there was an episode that had three perfect score winners competing in a one-hour special. I don't know if it's on Paramount Plus, but the special is on KZbin, and here's my suggestion for the Guts All-Star Special if you guys decide to see it. The selection order and prizes for winning will be up to you guys, but how the All-Stars are selected will be a completely blind draw--that is, you will have no idea who are you picking until you make the selection. Also, and this is the most important rule--NO MID-EPISODE TRADES! Once you make the selection, you are with that All-Star all the way through. And for the record, here are the three All-Stars... Blue--Mike "Superman" Schmidt (seen in episode 1-08) Red--Jana "Warrior" Waring (seen in episode 1-05) Purple--Kelli "Maniac" Marchewka (seen in this episode, 1-46)

If she would have, debuting and logging a 1st, 3rd, 3rd while not as epic as 1st, 1st, 2nd as some other athletes, definitely respectable. Kelli played a great episode for the competition and events she was involved in.

26:48 I have a guess why Purple tends to win more on the Crag, conversely why Red struggles. Putting aside the talent of the athlete, look at the last stage of the crag, where the athlete needs to rock climb up to the top. There is a protruding part of that which forms a point outward. You need to grab either handle to the side of it, also go up that way instead of over the highest point directly in the middle. Purple/Blue naturally arrive at this point at an angle given they are on the edges, and the athlete’s perspective of this may lead them to go to the side more naturally, while Red naturally arrives square in the middle and might not think to go to either side. Totally depends on the athlete, but maybe this part of the course subconsciously plays a part too. 🤷‍♂️
