Awesome table and very good job! I have a question about the MDF though. When you put the screws in, does the point of the screw show on the bottom of the table? Even if you cut and sand the tip, is it visible in the epoxy?
@Slovenianwoodworker
@Slovenianwoodworker 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Regarding screws. After removing everything and sanding there are dots visable. But you have to look really good. If it's dark resin or similar to mine than is almost not noticeable.

Excellent work, thank you for sharing! I think I missed a part, did you leave the screws in the MDF that you used to save on the epoxy pour?
@Slovenianwoodworker
@Slovenianwoodworker 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Screws were protruding out from underneath. From one side a bit more so the mdf was under angle to allow bubbles to escape. Also i hit the mdf with my fist so the screws got stuck in the base under. It can happen that epoxy lift that up so it's important to have it secured. From the top i cut remains of the screws before i pour.

@MuhammadKhan-ek5zw 4 жыл бұрын
Hi. This turned out amazing! I had a quick question about the MDF. I was planning on doing something similar but do not understand what you mean by tilting the MDF in mold. Would it work if I just put the piece into the mold? If I use screws, wouldn't they show on the underside? How would you recommend doing it? Thanks in advance!
@Slovenianwoodworker
@Slovenianwoodworker 4 жыл бұрын
You can put it in mold yes and it will work. But it will be visable from the bottom side and air gaps can form. If you add screws you can slightly tilt the mdf so cought air or bubbles will escape out. Good luck
