easiest way to get there from manila is to take the bus to batangas port, Ride the Ro-Ro(Navios shipping lines) to Cajidiocan, Sibuyan,, then take a tricycle to go to shore where you can take a little boat to cresta de gallo.:) then after your done enjoying the island, go back to cajidiocan, then you can take a tricycle, and go to San fernando, sibuyan, and experience the crystal clear river/falls of Cantingas. Promise you wont regret it:)
@akeentan89317 жыл бұрын
From batangas port to sibuyan island is about, 8-10hours on a ship, but you will save a lot of money, compare to taking a airplane, because if you take an airplane you'll land on tablas island, and you have to stay here for a night, because the ferry boat only have one trip, and its 6am, the airplane will land on tablas island maybe 12 or 1pm. So youll have to stay in tablas for a night, but tablas has a lot to offer too, lots of waterfalls and great beaches.

I was born in Tablas, Romblon. My hometown is just few steps away from the beach and when I was young I go almost daily to watch the sunset from one of the boats docked in the seashore. Twas amazing. And at night, the stars are so huge it brightens our town....When I was young there was no electriity yet, and when darkness sets in at night, I felt miserable and depressed and vowed to move to a city full of lights, lol. Glad they have everything now.

This is my secret island! I call it neverland because like what you've said, it doesn't show up in Google maps and time seems to be moving slow in this island. Looks like the old lady living there already passed away 😭I promised her I'd be back with her printed photo. Btw, An easier route to come here is to fly in to Roxas City then take a 5-hr boat ride to Sibuyan Island. This is my dad's hometown and had I known you're going there, I could've helped you arrange your accommodations and food! Hope you loved neverland as much as I did!

Thanks for visiting my Province....BTW if you are going to Boracay try to island hop in Carabao Island or San Jose they call it the next Boracay and Boracay btw is just behind that island, take a boat from Sta. if you see double "L" in filipino words. you suppose to read the second L to either " i " or " y " gallo=== galio == galyo
@jasonisrael94427 жыл бұрын
michael jake usman no, ur wrong. The correct pronunciation, just like spain and latin america do is Y. For instance, gallo is pronounced gayo.
@minim69817 жыл бұрын
the original Spanish pronunciation is similar to the Filipino pronunciation, except it's just a slight tap for the L and it slides into a Y sound. (it's not a hard L sound like Filipinos do it, just a slight one) But now, most Spanish-speakers make it a complete Y sound.
@susunod7 жыл бұрын
yes filipinos will pronounce it as Galyo but correct spanish pronunciation is Gayo.. watch narcos my friend. Medellin is pronounced as Me-de-yin.
@emptylikebox7 жыл бұрын
@Jason Israel - In Spain and Latin America it is Gayo indeed but in the Philippines you pronounced it the way Michael Jake Usman said - it is Galyo. @Aldrin Gesta - pronunciation of words depends on the country, we are not in Spain or in Mexico.
@resinvillarama12877 жыл бұрын
Can be said GAYO, GALYO, GALJO.. Filos says GALYO because its a spanish word/s mixed in with Filipino words so its a lot easier to emphasise the correct LYA sound - speaking in the Filo accent is slower, whereas it changes to GAYOS or GAJOS in a Spanish/Latin accent or context as its harder to emphasise the LYA sound when speaking in fast spanish so LYA changes to YO or JO as this rolls off the tongue easily 😉

My mom's from Sibuyan and I used to go there every summer. I remember as a child always staring at Cresta de Gallo from our shore. Memories...thank u for this awesome video. I'm planning to visit Philippines next year and definitely going back Sibuyan again and Cresta de Gallo. U guys should definitely try going around Sibuyan and Romblon, they have amazing waterfalls and beaches as well. It's a lot peaceful and cleaner than Boracay (interestingly enough is where my dad's from lol). Don't get me wrong, I like Boracay but it definitely isn't what it used to be a kid. Boracay was like Cresta de Gallo before: a remote paradise w/ only small huts as hotels.
