I’d love to hear you talk about Pedro Lopez, who despite having 110 of his victims proven to have happened, was released after 14 years of jail time, went missing, and may be still alive today. He also claimed to have killed over 300 young girls. It’s a horrific case that I haven’t heard about very much despite the extent of his terrible crimes.

The dude who spray paints "face" everywhere, however, IS a man. Security cameras around town have recorded him in the act. The cops know that guy's a dude, and they are salivating over the opportunity to catch him. He wears a hood low enough that none of the camera footage shows his face, but as bold as this guy is, it's only a matter of time until they catch him.

You're not alone. Look at your surroundings... Describe everything you see, write it down if it helps... that will teach you how to manage anxiety and will occupy your brain... it takes time but you can rewrite your brain! Listen to the birds, the crickets... Observe their behaviour. First, you'll find out how beautiful that is and later, you'll have them as reassurance that everything is ok (cos they shut up if something is wrong...and it never is). I wish you all the best.

The List murders are so interesting. The way they found him is so cool, but also he put his families bodies in the ballroom of their house that had a stain-glass ceiling. In that ceiling was a jewel that if he sold would have fixed all their money trouble like 3x over. And a lot of people think the money trouble was his biggest motivation for killing his family.
@klash813

I am rather well versed in the List case. I grew up about 15 miles away from the house. It happened on November 9th, 1971. The way he carried out the murders so meticulously. I could go on and on about the case, but I'd be here for days...

It’s been a long time since I looked into info on that case. I always suspected that 1) the daughter was trying to freak out and piss off her family by claiming to be a witch 2) Satanism/witchcraft claims were a form of demonization planned before the murder. The same myths were rampant during the Satanic Panic and are still rampant today. Witchcraft/Wicca has absolutely nothing to do with Satanism but most Christians use the terms interchangeably.

@@Hoping_for_Patience I go back quite often. The thing is no one really talks about it. Most people haven’t a clue that it even happened. The story I heard was that the sheriffs son was an oddball that was obsessed with her. She kept denying him and he lost it. The crime scene was a cover up either by him or the sheriff. The weird thing is he was sent off to live with relatives in the midwest somewhere and never heard from again.

@naturalcambion3747 Make it a main comment, so people can see it. That cover up happens in small towns. I had a relative that died in a car accident. Police determined that he was the one driving the car. How did he fly through the windshield from behind the wheel? Also, his buddy who was underage to have a licence was determined, he was in the passenger seat, then came to the funeral limping (classic injury if your foot gets stuck under the pedal). Well, he was the local cop's son...

This story made me understand why when I spent the night away from home as a teen (I was mad at my parents 🤦‍♀️), my dad showed up at my work the next morning and he was beyond relieved that I was THERE. Kids, don't lie to your parents, speaking from experience, and as a mom myself. It's never worth it as much as it may seem like it at the time. Good parents just want our kid to be SAFE, they'd rather be frustrated with you, than never see you ever again. ❤

The moment Kris began describing the conflicting descriptions of this poor girl, I knew this was gonna be a very frustrating case. Amazing job kris! Love the story telling and commentary. Also just a note on the John List murders- the bodies weren’t discovered for almost a month after being deceased because of the family’s introverted nature and the notes List sent to the schools. So List had a month head start of the police.

This series is amazing! I absolutely love it! It's also terrifying to think that all these things happened not so long ago. One thing I'd like to say tho, is that even today, you have to wait for 24 hours to call the police about someone missing... The stories I could tell you of the absolute incompetence of the cops in Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieux... My little brother had a horrible habit of leaving the house for a few days without telling anyone. The cops didn't do anything until it had been a day... I almost lost my brother because of shit like this... The whole system needs to be reworked in it's entirety.

I disagree. I understand from your point of view that you want your close ones to be safe. But you need to see it from the other side aswell. Where is the police gonna take the resources to investigate every such case. So many teenagers like to run away once in a while. And even if 24h have passed, there's really not any clues for police to even pick on. Personally I would say that 24h is even too short time.

my husband works out of state so im on our farm alone yanno- most of the time. We have 7 dogs- including 4 great pyrenees (a livestock guardian breed). And a german shepherd. the Pyrs work in rotating shifts- 2 out with the livestock and 2 in with me at all times. Then of course the other 3 which are in and out all day. People ask him if he worries about my safety being here alone. He shows them pics of of our pyrs- which the largest 2 are over 220 pounds and outweigh me by 100 pounds, easy. Even the smallest pyr is my weight- 120 or so. And says 'would you worry about YOUR wife being alone?' the answer is always no. Even if you get past 1 dog... there's 6 more coming for you. Get past those and I have a shotgun (yanno- farm.) lol Yes, the dogs drive me insane but nope... I dont worry about anything. I will say I am regularly brought bones, but at least to date... they are simply from deer carcasses in the woods LOL

I grew up with this story. I lived a few towns over. Johnathon Dayton HS was part of a regional system that included my HS AL Johnson in Clark. This caused a major disruption of how we all lived back then. I was crazy.

That’s awesome that you are shedding light on this case. It reminded me of a lot of cases from the true crime documentary, “Disappeared”. Give it a watch sometime, you’ll be baffled by how often cops overlooked vital clues and evidence in cases not only the 70s, but as recent as the early 2000s.

I love that you put the s-video jacks conspicuously in the side of the TV just in case people didn't notice this was an old timey CRT set, despite the fact that TVs didn't have the plugs on the side. The jacks would probably have gone into an adapter hanging from a couple of screws in the back.

Sooo many old cold cases seem to have the same theme of cops and investigators just not caring or doing the absolute bare minimum. It's so sad, especially when years later someone just looks into the case and can immediately see what happened, but it's far to late for any justice to be served. 😩 no wonder there are so many angry and sad spirits stuck to this earth.

I feel so bad, her house sounded so volatile with so few people willing to stick up for a quiet girl, we hear her now, past all those reputation smearing rumors The twigs and rocks are the biggest clue to me, it feels like someone knew she was trying to turn a leaf to god and said, "you want to see your god? I'll make you an angel" I hope she's ok, wherever she is 🕊️

Rumours and lies can make your life a living hell as people believe it to be true and not see what is in front of their eyes. My mother believes, to this day, that I was a disruptive teen and 20 something... Because there was a hummingbird on her ear lying about everything around them to cause us harm. People should be more active trying to think critically and figure out if something is a fact or not! Especially if it comes to the people you love.

Back story-I’ve been listening to KZbin for EIGHT years, complying a playlist of roughly 10 hours that I listen to religiously throughout the night.i even pay KZbin a big fat $18.99 a month. So, as I come across you today, I have to say WTH??? Obviously, I find you pretty freaking amazing and you now have a new fan. I’m shook that I’ve missed this channel all these years and kinda mad about it. Algorithms? I can accidentally type “shape” and I get a hundred options because apparently I need to squeeze myself into pants 2 sizes too small. Yet, I religiously listen to and subscribe to channels EXACTLY like yours and I get nothing. Lesson learned and I won’t miss any more of your channel and content. Keep it up because I’m beyond excited to have found you.
