Madden needs to drop a game mode called body bag mode. Every hit stick or truck results in injury and have KTO with FlemLo commentating

It would be fun until all you have left are 50 overall 3rd stringers and guys playing out of position to fill holes. Back in madden 08 I had a career mode DE face the Giants who had like 4 OL on the mend so they trotted out their kicker as a back up tackle. I think it racked up like 15 sacks that game bc you’d just bull rush him and get the sack in like 2 seconds

TBH if I was Gibbs I woulda walked the team off the field after the second QB went down. By that point it was clearly on purpose and if the refs aren’t gonna do anything about a team openly trying to injure as many of your players as possible you gotta take their safety into your own hands even if it means forfeiting. I know it was a more physical game back then but at this point it’s not even football anymore, it’s just a brawl. Like, during the rematch I honestly woulda been worried an Eagles player was gonna pull out a weapon on the field, shit was that far gone.

I'm Australian and live in a small country town, our fields aren't the best quality but they do the required job. When I was in high school we played a game of Rugby against a team from the city, where they used the stadiums of the professional teams so they're fields were well manicured. The game in my small country town occurred not long after we had been through a very big flood 3-4 meters of water or the field for a week. When the flood subsided and the field dried out it turned into concreate. We were in the locker room getting ready and you could hear our boots on the concrete floor, when we left the locker room and ran onto the field the sound beneath our feet was even louder. The game was subsequently ended early by the referee due to safety concerns as the city team had 11 ambulances come to the field and 9 of their players were hospitalised. us country folk are tougher than those city folk

I love how in these old games you could kill a guy and that’s just football but now if u flick a quarterback then it’s a fifteen yard penalty

It’s because so many injuries happened. Yes, football isn’t as action packed as back then but the humans on the field are safe and can go back home to their families in one piece.

It turns out the point of football is the sport, not legal murder, people should have been prosecuted for this game

Blame the owners, they sink millions into their players and they are going to be good and goddamned if their investments get blown up because of some idiot DLineman going for the knees. Of course we aren't going to do anything ELSE to help with injuries (Better fields, more extensive medical treatment, etc.) But by GOD we're going to show those idiot defensive players what for.

Joe Gibbs has 3 Nascar Championships and he is still active in nascar so that’s probably why his wiki page had his nascar career over his football career
