I've mostly been playing Storm, she pretty decent as a support and her Ultimate smashes. I tried Wolverine a couple of times, but I definitely need to practice with him. I've watched the topped ranked Wolvie player he definitely cooks.

One of my favorite supports to use is Mantis, her heals are great but she also provides dmg boost to her allies and her self. Applying the damage boost to her self makes her a menace to society making her not just a support character but a DPS character if the teams DPS are underperforming.
