Stealth camping = sleeping in your car. Car camping = when you are driving your gear to the campsite. Backpacking = when you carry all your gear on your back and hike to wherever you choose to set up.

@@KristNorsworthy It was either something BLM related or had to do with "Stop Asian Hate". BLM was a known scam at the time, the Stop Asian Hate thing was a bit awkward and forced. Everyone else I know ditched REI and every other company/venue because we don't need to hear their political stance when most people in this community aren't racist or have hate for people, we went to REI to buy gear to get away from the noise, not be forced to hear it every time we turn on the TV, check social media or go out somewhere to unwind. But I'm an a-hole for feeling the way that I do. 🙄

@@KristNorsworthy I replied but my initial message was censored. Go figure. Basically, REI and other companies that followed political movements that turned out to be scams. We shop at REI to buy gear to get out into the outdoors and away from the noise, not have the noise forced on us at every turn.
