I've had this tent for about 3 months now. When I bought it, it was called the massif 3 man. I've used it 3 times so far. Once in Adirondacks New York, and twice in the White mountains New Hampshire. I've not used it with the stove yet, even though I was at 38 degrees overnight. I'm 65 with bad arthritis in my hands and had a bit of trouble with set up and tear down. It's so tight, I wonder how long it will last before tearing. That being said, it's a 15 to 20 minute set up for me alone. It cost me $499 on amazon. Some thing I believe might be a pain is zipping up and down the fly on the inner side (which you don't have) from the inner, as the zips for them are on the inside. So far I absolutely love this tent!! It went through extended heavy rain completely dry. Thanks Luke for your channel. I love all the gear and insight. What seam sealer would I use on this material Luke? Not that I need it, but I want to have some on hand just in case. As I said this tent is wicked tight and I fear it will tear at some point. God bless you and your family as you recover from the storm. Mike

Great review as always. Just bought one after watching the video. Already own a couple of hot tents but wanted one that would also make a good bug shelter and free standing so this will definitely work. I love multipurpose gear and the fact that it’s a sun shelter, tent, hot tent, rain shelter and screen house makes it a bargain to me. It’s set up in my living room right now. Lol!

got the 3-4 person, so the larger one. It is very nice, only thing is that you need a tarp over the main entrance because when is raining , and you want to stay in the common room with 2 chars and a table yo/ll get wet because of the angled front wall. This is what we did and it worked well. You'll need a large tarp so it will cover a little more than half over the roof tent so you wont have the rain water coming towards the from door, we learned this the hard way.

I purchased the Sand Dune 10.9 last summer but have not yet used it. Is the setup manageable for one person? I'm a little worried about that... I wanted the larger one to make it roomy for my dog and the occasional guest. I also decide to go larger for more vents and the accessories they have available; ground sheet, top rain sheet, and transparent door.

I picked up the NatureHike Massif hot tent this fall, but I picked up the 3 person tent. I have found it to be an excellent cold-weather camping tent. A robust frame, lots of gear space, and a separate "sleeping" space has all the bells and whistles. The 3-person is more like a 2-person for cold weather camping due to the amount of gear one will typically bring. My only negative comment is that the stove jack opening is a felt pre-cut opening (and is sewn into the shell), which is sized for a 4" pipe (I think). If your stove pipe is any smaller, then rain/snow will come in. Plus, you lose your heat much more quickly. Overall, I'm impressed by this tent. I left it out in multiple high-wind storms in Michigan, and it was still standing with only a bit of slack in the lines. I would recommend it as an entry-level tent for cold-weather camping.

Just watched one of my Indonesian camping channels, and he was showcasing the Massif, while setting it up in a massive rainstorm--Indonesia is known for its rain. Great tent, tons of room, and no leaks. Naturehike makes some good stuff. Definitely liking the Dunes and Massifs. The Indonesian guy claims his Massif was for 3 to 4 people, and a 4-season. His model, far as I could see, was not a hot tent, no jack. Had a nice vestibule, big enough to be like a 2-room setup. Far as Dunes, I'm not really educated in those, but I do like it. Thanks for the info, Luke!

Is the floor space the same as the old massif tent? It's great that this one has air vents on top instead of being on the side like the massif (wonder if this is better with condensation). Looks like you can stand up inside the tent and that is a bonus. Also seems like the inner tent has a mesh door with fabric cover for privacy for changing cloth. With the old massif, I have to close all the outside tent doors. Kinda wish I bought this one instead of the smaller massif tent.

The inward part is what really peaked my interest at first. I have my reservations. Seems to me that the materials used in the vicinity of where the stove would go will not stand up to the heat. I currently use a Bereg UP2 tent, and it utilizes a 1.5 foot wide fiberglass woven cloth from the floor, up the wall, and surrounds the stove jack to protect the tent against melting.

With Black Friday sales, now's the time to get a new tent. I want to love this one, but I have an issue with the inner, which I really want to use. You noted 3 could squeeze in or 2 people in the enclosed sleeping area, but the website says it's only 53" wide. With all that space, I'd really like to see that proportioned better to allow for 2 - 30" pads. Personally, anything less than 30" is miserable for a side sleeper that tosses and turns. I guess the only option to take full advantage of the space in that scenario is to use a ground cloth and ditch the inner, having one open space. Less protection from mosquitos while sleeping. Several reviews about poor pole stability/breakage....I'm curious if that's user error or inconsistent product.
