Literally almost got hit last week because some lady in the left turn lane decided to cut back over w/o signal. Proper lane position and watching her front tires saved my life. Excellent video bro

For recreation riding on twisties or late night top speed runs, I believe the best thing to do is to take a survey lap of the current road conditions between potholes (or poorly patched asphalt )and debris it’s an insurance policy for your health and property

Great video. I see people talking about their accidents as if it was a mystery. I'm an ex police officer. I never investigated a vehicle accident that didn't have a cause and that couldn't have been prevented. Starting about 2018 I started studying tons of motorcycle accident videos. Up to now I have not seen any that could not have been prevented. Very often it's like those horror movies where you know what's going to happen next. "Don't go in the kitchen!". The car is about to cut in front of the bike but the bik3er doesn't slow down. Slowing down will help to prevent a huge amount of accidents.

would be interesting to have a video similar video on why starting on a 600cc or in an 1000cc is a bad idea, i saw your "Should You Start On A 600cc Sport Bike As a Beginner?" video, but I was thinking it could be complemented with something like "common mistakes beginners do on powerful bikes" or something like that. we know a lot of people will do it anyway, so it'd be nice to know the most common mistakes made that could be more dangerous on a big bike. I see a lot of videos saying it is a bad idea, but not many examples of how people will get in trouble by starting on a more powerful bike. I've been riding for only about 23 days now, and from my own experience, I see that I don't have yet enough dexterity with my hands to smoothly shift gear, and sometimes (out of lack of skill) I'll dump the clutch while the revs are too low or too high on a downshift, making the bike jerk - I can see how that would be a huge problem on a 1000cc, or if I do it mid-corner, or at corner entry while heavy on the brakes. another issue I'm discovering is about panicking grabbing the brakes (which you do mention on this video) - and I think that a smaller/ligher bike might be more forgiving and easy to control if you mess up with the brake. Great video by the way! Having those concrete examples on the back of our minds is of huge help. I see myself always braking and being cautious on busy intersections - and I was wondering if I was being too cautious (now that I don't have a cage around me) and that I maybe should just trust other drivers and blast through intersections without a worry (like I do with a car), but seeing your advice is a good reassurance I'm doing the right thing on that regard.

after I post this, I realized that the mistakes will be the same, regardless of the size of the bike, making my request kind of pointless lol I guess almost every mistake will be a bit more exacerbated on a bigger bike than on a smaller one

Great points dude. Dont listen to the haters about your hands not being on the bars, I get it when you at that comfort level with your bike its no big deal especially on an inline-4 that has little engine-breaking. Once you're in your "safety bubble" you can trust the bike to keep straight at speed.

extremely good points for sure..as those of us that live and ride in the mountains know a lot of these for sure especially the twisties. Sadly on the tail there was 2 head on collisions and 4 other wrecks due to people not staying within their limits which is very common there. Personally seen the fallout of one of the head ons which didn't look good really. the second one happened the following day involving two motorcycles sadly. Your are correct though just like Jordon is as well that riding is being more defensive riding more than the other for sure. as for the rear ending I came close to having that happen along the interstate in south atl. in extremely heavy traffic where I had space to stop but the truck in front of me got moving good then slammed on the brakes causing me to do the same but as i was aware of the suv that was behind me trying to stop so i ended up taking the left side emergency lane to avoid getting rear ended but both me and the suv were yelling at the ford for not paying attention nearly causing a wreck. So even when being defensive there can still be close calls for sure even while riding a big motorcycle like a trike that's even easier to see than 2s. great video

Always cover your controls around cars and going through intersections.
@enzoman19874 ай бұрын
Here’s what works for me. 1. Stay in the right most lane when passing an intersection. 2. Turn on your high beams day or night; always 3. Honk when you approach the turning left car just to catch their attention. Dont worry about being polite, HONK to declare you’re around. Its for safety so just do it. 4. ???? 5. Profit

0:03 well at least police were already on scene…. But for real, when you see traffic like that and you have intersections, ride slow. No one can see you, and you can’t see them. Slowing down would allow you to respond faster to the situation.

Sometimes the brain of drivers filters out riders, its because of all the stuff they keep track of. But, he isnt wrong. I also "wiggle" weave back and forth when approaching intersections to increase likelihood of vehicle behind me, sees me. Then I do the same I will pick on side of the car(depending on lane.) .

British Roundabouts will always be safer than intersections, its crazy why you's still dont have them. So do you use neutral throttle when you go around the corner when you say dont give it throttle? or do you mean to roll off throttle? I personally dont wanna look like a power ranger when Im doing errands around town and work, then coffeeshop. So its casual urban but motorcycle casual gear for me.

Dude some sound advice here on your video. But you spent more time as a passenger on your bike instead of controlling it. Everytime both hands come off them bars and damce around like yours, you are not in control an have become a passanger. That would fail you on your test immediately, so maybe dont do it so much on a video on how to ride safety?
