Brother, I first picked up a dhol when I was 16 (27 now) and didn't have much guidance right off the bat. You are blessed! Learn as much as you can. In no time, I will be asking you for lessons 🙏

Awesome job, guys! Really well taught and explained! I'm curious as to what makes this the "most commonly played" :) I'm not arguing, I'm just interested in your perspective(s).

Manvir can you please show each side of the dhol on video when you teach us so we know where to put Tilli it's a request brother
@snehdeepbakshi53685 жыл бұрын
Hey Manvir, thank you so much for the hard work you are doing for the community, it's really amazing and great work. I am following your videos and have learned a lot. Just s quick question, why gurpreet's , dugga side is so dark? Is it the masala? Can you advise how much masala to apply, it's seems like gurpreet's one is loaded heavily. But sounds amazing. Also I always have trouble tuning the tilli side so it would be great if you could make a video on tuning the dhol. Thanks mate...
@ManvirHothi5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Snehdeep! I believe that's just the colour of the skin itself. With regards to tuning the tilli side, I get this request a lot but I'm not good at it myself so I don't want to put out a video where I share incorrect info. This year, I'll try to collaborate with someone that is skilled in tuning and hopefully share that video

Hi Manvir, just a quick question. What were the bols that Gurpreet was playing at the beginning of the video, excluding the toreh. (Was this Chaal variation 3 from your previous video?) Thank you, Nikesh

Hi I have a question for Gurpreet Pannu, I live in the VA area close to DC. Do you happen to teach Dhol, like one on one? If so How can I get in contact with you so that I can get few lessons? thank you Rajiv
@ManvirHothi8 жыл бұрын
Hi Rajiv, Gurpreet lives in Ashburn, VA so you may be fairly close to him. Feel free to get in touch with him via Instagram @GopiPannu (Send a DM)
