Well whilst people were able to vote for Brexit, they couldn't quite embrace Proportional Representation in a similar referendum. Therefore for now we are stuck with what we have. Anyway I somehow doubt that it is going to go quite as well for Labour as they think. I expect the exit polls will actually show a conservative win or a minority government with commentators asking how the polls and Labour leadership went wrong. I think the reports of the Tory demise are greatly exaggerated and if Reform has an effect maybe Farage will finally be an MP and Reform basically keeping votes away from Labour. Id say look to 1992 and also SNP in Scotland and the Tory vote holding up.

The lib-dems gave people a chance to change voting system from away from 1st past the post in the 2012 referendum. It was comprehensively and emphatically rejected. What do you think should have happened? That the referendum was ignored? How would that be democratic? Its likely that that bid failed because of the very people voting Reform now - because they simply dont understand poltical system...but think they do.

🇬🇧Ex Tory member and I'm ashamed of these past 14 years, ashamed of the corruption, ashamed at the lack of talent, ashamed of the highest tax take in 70 years, ashamed that working people have had to use food banks, ashamed of a rediculous net zero policy, ashamed that are borders are more porous than tissue paper. Anyone that votes for the Tory's have to be clear in their heads ..you would be sending the message that the past 14 years have been ok, that they have performed well, that they are morally stable.... Think about that is that a good lesson to teach your children or grandchildren??🇬🇧🇬🇧

It's a measure of how utterly sick most of the population is with the grifters aka mainstream party MPs. The vote of any thinking person seems to be the minefield of picking who will do the least harm. The ONLY party saying anything like what voters want to hear is Reform UK, so absolutely no surprises there. You can tell how successful their message is by who is attacking them and how vicious the attacks are. REFORM UK for me and most of my peers . . .

@@ernestrogen4639 Don't worry, it's now payback time, the Cons believed that they could do exactly as they wanted and the people would have no choice but to vote for them again because they don't want a Liebour government, next Friday they will know that they can't take the people for granted.
