In my tribe in Africa, some legendary necromancers claimed to even be able to speak with a random spirit in the cemetery to carry out revenge on your behalf and act like judge. The summoned spirit will then check what the accused person is guilty of , and if true the spirit will exact extreme punishment including car accidents or serious prolonged sickness. In extreme cases they will be unalived , but if you were lying , it will turn on you. The dead are feared and given healthy level of respect. When you force them back into our world, they return in rage.Our tribes saying goes, "Those that are dead, are not dead".

I'm studying necromancy. Some of what is written as requirements is asking for insane things. Stuff like sleeping in a cemetery at night (good luck with that), sleeping next to a corpse (like I'm going to randomly find one of those), as well as different types of blood (menstrual, virgin, another person, or baby's blood (no, NOT sacrificing an infant, just using a sample (ie: blood transfusion))). I'd use my own blood, but some of those requirements are just simply impossible to obtain.

Necromancy is something I wouldn't touch, too much bad things could happens, and not clear goods than you can't find in other parts. I read about different practices and the amount of "black magic" than enslave a spirit or requires sacrifices is high, and its something I'm not atracted at all.

Ive been reading and putting to use _Consorting with Spirits_ by Jason Miller, and I find his take to be accurate. Treat every new spirit acquaintance the same as you would a human one, and when you find an a-hole, stop talking to them. It's not scary or complicated, but for me and for most people, the skill does not come easily.

It is possible to communicate with the dead persons. There are various rituals to connect with the souls of dead people and communicate with them. Some rituals need ceremony with prescribed steps of observances of specific performances. Some rituals are very simple with out any formal processes. We can communicate with any dead persons if we know the process involved for that. History has a records of such instances . If you try to contact a dead loved one, and get a response, it probably isn't your dead loved one, but an imposter of some sort, most likely malificient. Thank you! Abuot the necromancy question, the main difference is about intent and respect. Consulting ancestors in African traditions is about honoring and seeking wisdom within a cultural and spiritual context. It's not about controlling or summoning spirits for personal gain like necromancy often is. So, while both involve communicating with the spirit world, the approach and meaning behind them are quite different. We haven't done one on water spirits, but thanks for the suggestion. I'll check that out.

When I became a Wiccan, I learned to do this. From what I've experienced, the dead don't know the future any more than we do. They do know what's going on and can reveal past information if they know it Ghosts are all around us and frustrated that we ignore them. I use a pendulum to make these communications. Apparently, not everyone can get it to work. Becoming a Wiccan involves meditation. Ray Buckland referred to it as developing the magick mind. If I can do it, pretty much anyone can. Death is like Astral Projection until some baby sucks your soul into it. Get too close to a Baby's event horizon and bam, diapers and baby food.

Spirits newly released tell me they're fine, happy to be out of the diseased body, they don't see Angels, they do see family. I ask them those questions. I don't believe in necromancy or any form of communing with the dead. However, I am a fiction writer working on a fantasy story with a complex magic system. Traditional necromancy is an important part of the worldbuilding. Necromancers are typically mages who are able to see spirits naturally. They typically develop this skill by the age of 12 but most Necromancers can see spirits before this; some even at birth. Part of my worldbuilding is that Necromancers deal with all aspects of death. They give end of life counsel, help people grieve, they also help spirits move on to the afterlife. They are the morticians of my world and prep bodies for funerals and burial. They also calm angry spirits or settle poltergeists as well as the traditional work of communing with the dead for knowledge. Rarely, however, do they animate a corpse. I was surprised that the switch from seeing Necromancers as mediums to evil warlocks who raise the dead wasn't talked about. When did this happen?

This passage of the Bible talks partly from Saul's perspective. In the King James version Saul (who no longer has Holy Spirit discernment) "perceives" (thinks) that it is Samuel. This so-called Samuel is also described as a god coming from the earth. The only spiritual entities that come out of the earth and described by the Bible as a 'small g' god are demonic. In 1 Chronicles it is later confirmed that Saul consulted a familiar (satanic) spirit harboured by the witch of Endor.

The top leadership of Black Live Matter practiced necromancy. Specifically they chose recently dead people with a history of violence, who died by violence. Some people make mistakes about who controls the realm of the dead, depending on religious beliefs. Let's say Cristian priest would ban it cause the practice gets the bad ones up, that were bound to serve in Tartars fire. The light version of necromancy here is reserved to death rituals, like wearing their clothes, maintaining some 3d contact with them this way. In reality most of Christians rituals surrounding the Dead is to help them pass their soul on the other side while the living cope with the physical separation and karmic inheritance by, lets say gradually letting them go, using specific rituals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 days or months in the calendar. Similar with astrological houses of close relationship and short trips, the mundane, the house of spirituality and the house of karma or moksha or final separation. That's healing. Think about accidental death, murders. Their soul will be restless, vengeful. In Hindu there are 9 gates that the Soul uses to depart from the body, each of the body orifices. The lower the exit, the lower the cast at the reincarnation, depending on your deeds in your recent past life. It actually saddens me when people discard their loved ones at funeral homes and then come only when a hole was dug up. The Body is as important as the Soul.Going back to the dark side of necromancy. Imagine what you can do with the body of a tormented Soul. That's where the practice becomes tricky. It's a forceful possession of what should be put to rest. Or the Souls of the practitioners won't necessarily have a better faith. Like Israel right now. The amount of karma accumulated for their murders and the loved ones inability to properly mourn and help them transition with burst everywhere. All those babies and kids who were prematurely destroyed. They all going to chase Bibi, Biden, Trump anyone who intentionally helped with desecration of their homes, graveyards. You can also explore Jungian psychology, the psychology of the wounded healer, and the role of Hades among the Gods. Western astrology is not very deep, as Bharani, is seen mostly as an Aries where in Hindu this star's Lord, Rama, is associated with the Underworld, more of a Scorpionic energy of death and rebirth, the one who judges the sins of the mortals. According to some legends, Bharani, he/she is the first human who died and came out to rule the Underworld. I think it can be very useful for people who have chosen to estrange from their parents and family of origin as being able to communicate with them without the minefield of the ego in the way can bring peaceful resolution and healing that couldn’t possibly occur when they were alive due to them being heavily in denial and unwilling to own their bad behaviours.

I think speaking to the dead is more or less ok as long as they don’t mind, and one is respectful. Though potentially dangerous as you could be speaking to an imposter and not realize. As well as that the dead have no care for life anymore and so who says they have to have a care for yours. I often think they may want their loved ones to join them in the afterlife. As for the darker practice of ANY type of mutilation, eating,using parts for spells what have you - that’s defiling the dead. Very unrespectfull and just nothing good or funny about it.
