If you wash that broccoli, no bugs. I just plop it in a bowl of water with white vinegar, soak 5 min and rinse. In fact, that’s how I wash all my vegs - organic or not. PS I’m a naturally messy cook, too, but finally trained myself to clean along the way - but it’s not natural! 😂

Never tried vinegar. I have used salted water and the bugs fall off. Thanks for the tip!

@@jodieroberts7882 I do that sometimes too, but vinegar is faster because the salt works better if it dissolves first IMO. I particularly like vinegar instead of salt for soft fruit like strawberries, grapes, peaches etc.

Soooo, I saw you make something like this a couple weeks ago on IG. Last week I made this with pretty much the same veggies, plus added frozen garlic & ginger and Teryiaki Coconut Aminos (too much sodium in soy sauce for me). I wrapped it in the cooked cabbage leaves. It was epic!!! I made a similar sauce with the addition of plain PB powder. Truly amazing & filling, and it was just veggies & shredded tofu. I will try the raw lettuce wraps this week... with some Kimchi!!! This will be a staple in our house! Thanks so much for your inspiration ♥

About half way through Amy has a good tip. Beans help with satiation. I just started adding different types of beans, lentils one of them. I hope this tip is right, because I'll be testing it, lol.

Yum! To open jars easily get a 'jar key' it's the cheap plastic lever that releases the vacuum in the jar and makes it super easy to open, especially good with jars like kimchi which are tough to open. Much easier to use than all the other jar openers I've tried.

I use a butter knife to break the seal. Some day I'll regret it if it breaks my knife. I think I'll put a spare screwdriver in the kitchen drawer. If someone wants to know what I'm talking about, it's the vacuum seal that makes the lid difficult to remove. To break the seal, you can use the jar key that Debbie mentions or a small screwdriver (one with a small tip). Twist it on the underside of the lid. You should hear a little pop as the seal is released.

My basic can opener has a little hook thing that goes under the lid so you can lift it and it breaks the vacuum seal. Super easy.
