The Most Dirtiest PlayStation 4 on YouTube - Restoration & Repair

I will be restoring this broken PS4 that will not turn on when pushing the power button it will turn on then turn off straight away even the fan doesn't kick in and also I will be giving it a good clean it looks like it's never been turn off I have never seen so much dust and build up of crud in a console before
Things to check
1. Make sure the power cable is plug in properly
2. Try a difference power cable
3. The power button might be broken or not working properly try using the controller instead
4. Check the power supply pins inside the console you can bend them in a little bit to make a better connection
5. Try put in a game when putting in a game it will start up the PS4
6. It could be the APU/CPU faulty soldering joints
7. In my case it was a faulty power supply

Screw driver set
Isopropanol alcohol 99.9%
Tooth brush
Paintbrush
Air blower
Thermal compound ( MX-4 recommend )
Multimeter
Parts
New battery
New power supply
New reconditioned fan

@@techrestoread I recently got a second hand ps4 same model in the vid but I noticed a few of the screws were missing and the top and bottom covers just popped out would you perhaps know where I can find replacements for the screws

Looks like this console been in a very heavy smokers home and they probably used it as a vacuum cleaner substitute. when I got my PS4 from auction it was just as or even more caked with dust than yours but it did at least not have all that nasty brown smoker shmoo all over it. I could save mine and use all parts again and it been working ever since

@@techrestoread for sure. But my console was actually a real challenge to fix because it was initially broken by dust and overheating and disk reader problems. But then the shipping company that delivered the package managed to completely smash the console to pieces during shipping. Even the WiFi antenna internally was completely crippled and snapped off. The case parts cracked and broken. I had to spend more time repairing the secondary damage made by the shipping than repairing the actual problems with the console. Man I was peeved by that. But I actually repaired everything including the antenna with the broken wire and everything.

@@techrestoread yeah I think about it when I play on the console how I sat and welded and glue the case together with great patience to make it almost invisible in the end and it served me well for doing that

My problem is that i put a sticker/skin on my ps4 it's not 3M so it has sticker residue all over. I don't know what to use to remove it

you do'nt put thermal paste, thermal pad and don't clean the roller in the disc drive in video

Thank you for watching. I put the new thermal paste was added 15:23 l did miss a bit of filming when cleaning the disc drive like the rollers and the front of the disc drive the black fabric where the game goes in with a alcohol wipes
