@katondragonrider But he is the one facilitating his viewers getting scammed so he can make more money when he's already rich and promotes how "frugal" he is so why sell out your fans just to make a little more money while his fans lose thousands of dollars each. You might not get scammed by his sponsers but many do and he's a POS for doing that to his fans and has never even addressed it.

7:48 here's what i realized about a lot of the YOUNG kids. heck even the grown ups on the show. THey never were homeless, or if they weren't not for long. they were bailed out, they had help a lot of the times. THese sorts of people are USED to getting helped out and haven't experienced that rockbottom of not going a DAY without food. they're expectant of a blessing will come to keep them afloat longer. they almost don't know true poverty because someone or something in the background keeps them going. they should spend TWO DAYS in a homeless shelter with nothing but the clothes on their backs, or maybe stay with a homeless person to realize how truly demoralizing and scary it is to be homeless if they keep their patterns up. WHen your young and your used to a certain lifestyle, being homeless shakes up that foundation so badly you'll do anything and when a positive change comes they take it. they stay like that for too long (usually around 45-50) it becomes much harder to shake off those bad habits. thus why companies prefer young people, more open minded. Overall they need to experience the reality of true blue hardship. being around addicts, smelly homeless folks. ANd those that actually GO to the shelters and try to get a roof over their heads are the less suspicious ones (my experience in NYC anyway)
@BoldBrandFlakes
@BoldBrandFlakes Ай бұрын
What you said is accurate 100% no matter where you are in the United States. These people are so used to being bailed out that they don’t see negative consequences of their actions. Growing up is realizing you can’t always have instant gratification and need to work up towards it. Sometimes you have to live life boring and can’t always make purchases to fast food or traveling, that’s what they don’t understand. Then the family members understandably don’t want to see them struggle but at the end of the day they never learn

I think one thing that’s not really brought out is mental health and emotional control. It’s not an excuse for behavior but it does explain things. If you view yourself as a failure, you self sabotage, or if you spend to manage your emotions, you are doomed to fail at successfully changing your behavior. You need to 1) really want it more than anything 2) have a strong control of your emotions that don’t align with your long term goals since underlying emotions are what drive people’s behavioral choices. It’s true that bad behavior is the answer but it’s changing what powers the thoughts in your brain is why it’s not simple and most fail.

No offense, but these are adults. If they are overwhelmed by a show they signed up for, traveled to, and even did the prep for... That's on them. The people arguing this is bad faith act like he's talking to kindergarten-aged people. And they aren't.

My biggest reproach to Caleb is that he tells people to stop going out and stop having fun. It's like telling someone to quit smoking cold turkey. You can't do that. You can't tell people who are already struggling to abandon their social life. Progressively REDUCE the bullsh*t spending. REDUCE the "wants" budget. Don't just "afuera" it. I think the answer to why people don't change their negative financial situation is sadly easy to understand. Generally those who live in the West, specifically the US. Live such amazing and comfortable lives, EVEN in their poverty, they live better than possibly most kings that have ever ruled the earth. So the necessity to make hard and conservative financial decision is very low. I love the quote " necessity is the mother of all invention", or as i like to reform that quote, necessity is the mother of all motivation. These people don't have ENOUGH necessity to change their financial situation now, and possibly not ever. The west has gone soft because of unimaginable good times.

@richardking4514

For several years I only kept one cent in my bank account. Paychecks were direct deposited and I'd immediately put everything towards bills and debt. For me it worked. Got rid of divorce debt, paid off my vehicle, only have my little mortgage debt that I don't mind dragging out. It really helped pay debts off and minimize the interest paid. I don't think anyone is saying to get rid of your bank account. Just that there is no point in holding cash when that cash would be better utilized by paying off debts or securing appreciating assets. I hope that clears up the theory for you. It's not for everyone. *Edit: I have no idea who Grant Cardone is or what he recommends. I'm just stating that leaving no money in the bank and going all-in on my financial decisions worked for me.
