@@txcNexus Sidney Moncrief was a the star player of the bucks from the late 70s and early 80s. Know for his defense. Won defensive playe of the year x2 in 1983 and 1984. Was also Jordan's first rival as his bucks took out a rockie MJs bulls from the playoffs

Maybe because I'm a Heat fan I might show some bias, but I'm surprised Chris Bosh doesn't get enough mentions. An 11x All-Star, 2x NBA Champion, an Olympic Gold medal, recently inducted into the HOF, arguably has the biggest rebound and assist in NBA history that led to the Ray Allen game tying three pointer in Game 6. Also like Zo, a career cut short due to his health.

Mark Price is one of the greatest shooters of all-time and is one of a few players to have shot 90, 50, 40 in his career. Price was also a great point guard, passer, and floor general. He also revolutionized the way point guards attack pick and roll defense and perfected splitting that D with his extreme quickness.

Of anyone in the list, Worthy sacrificed the most in terms of stats to earn rings and play with 2 legends, but Magic also described Showtime as a fist, five guys all working together to create a powerful punch, it wasn’t about Worthy getting preference over Kareem to dump 45 on the Nets, voters know this and that is why he made the top 50 and top 75

Gasol doesnt get talked about enough. Over 20000 points 11000 rebounds 3500 assists and 1500 blocks the other guys on the list are duncan KG and kareem.... and with spain he played even better! And paved the way for spanish and european players to make the jump to the nba. Such a legend in europe but somehow spanish players in the us are just considered SOFT and get no love....smh

@@Humble_808 yeah he was a great player on a bad team. he doesn’t have any All-NBA selections because with Kareem occupying the first team, there was only one more spot. and he was fighting with the greats of the 70s. easy 20 and 10 guy with superb passing. a good jumper. productive on those early contending Bucks teams. criminally underrated. injuries derailed him but he was still a top 5 player at his peak. hell both the Pistons AND Bucks retired his number!

It always breaks my heart to see Alonzo Mourning on lists like this, because all it makes me think of is Larry Johnson. Johnson was one of the most incredible players I've ever seen. He could post up smaller guys with a real post game, he could take bigger guys off the dribble or just shoot a 3 over them, if they say off. He's was a killer in the fast break, and the man had boundless energy and you get see how emotionally invested in the game he was. On defense, he couldn't necessarily lock down any player from any position, but he could guard every position. His incredible strength made him great against pf and C. He played well with other stars, had a great attitude, and seemingly endless talent. But then the dreaded back injury. It even took down Bird.

I feel like there’s such a focus on team accomplishments when deciding ‘greatness’ and not enough focus on simply being the better player. At his best, T-Mac was absolutely incredible, but because he never achieved the team accomplishments of many ‘great’ players he gets disrespected.

I LOVE Lillard and one day he'll be acknowledged as an all time great, but putting him over guys like Gasol and Dwight is just plain disrespectful. Gasol was the second best player on two championship teams and before that he was a top 3 power forward in a league that still had Tim Duncan. Dwight individually carried a team to an NBA finals that had no business being there and was legitimately one of the faces of the league before he became a Laker. Forget team success, even individual stats and awards prove they've had better careers than Lillard. Before these past few years, he was barely making top 10 point guard lists and all star games. If the three point shot doesn't become the phenomenon it is today, I don't see Lillard becoming the player he is today. He would've consistently been under guys like Russ and CP3 his whole career. Hell, that's what it was before Steph introduced the world to 40 foot bombs.

Lillard is not better than Dwight but MUCH better than Pau Pau was only good but not great. Definitely not a top 100 guy. Lillard has had great playoff runs while Pau got obliterated as the main dude in Memphis Regardless of whether people want to admit it or not, Kobe is a top 3 player all time and Pau benefited greatly from his situation Dude once Kobe retired Pau's career evaporated. Just look at his older Brother Marc who is a true #1 option and has had an amazing career as both "the guy" and a key piece to both Toronto's and LA's championship

Webber was a badass. I'm a Lakers guy, and I was doing time close to Sacramento, so I watched a lot of Kings games from 2000 to 2007. They were the best team that year. The whole team was solid and in sync. Being in sync is the kicker and the hard part when you're on a team. As a Lakers guy, I was happy, but as a person who loves the game, it hurt a little to see them not get it. It really did.

Webber was great, but it felt like the dude was always dealing with injuries, whether they took him out of the game or not. When healthy, he was good for 20+ points & 10+ rebs a night. He was a solid passer for his position, & pretty strong defensively, averaging something like 1.5 steals. Just those injuries seemed to cut off large chunks of various seasons.

@@builderdog3875 nope for a single reason - efficiency. During his best scoring years (99-2009) T-Mac had 43.5% on FG averaging 24.4. Adding 6 boards, 5 assists, 1.5 steal and 1 block per game. Solid stats. Alex English had a best years from 78-79 season to 1989-1990 averaging 24.4 on 50.9%, 6 boards, 4 assists, 1 steal, almost 1 block. T-Mac greatness was derailed by his injuries. If he stayed healthy he would surpass English. But judging both by their accomplishments I think its fair to leave those 2 as they are. If you find someone else to switch with T-Mac, fine.

@@builderdog3875 This is even trickier, because its not direct comparison. First, you can search stats. What you have to look for is per36, as T-Mac in his best years was 6 minutes longer on the floor than Parker. Per36 will make it more comparable. Then its another fact, that T-Mac was primary force in both Orlando and Houston, except that 1 season when Yao and T-Mac were both healthy. Parker on the other hand was surrounded by great or HoF caliber players. So if you put him in another franchise and give him a free hand he could inflate his stats the way Westbrook does. Another fact is winning. You can't say it was Parker alone, he was in a system that was utilising best of every player. Still he was named 2007 finals MVP, having prime Duncan and Ginobili at his side. This means he was impactfull and he did that when it mattered. As Jordan would not win without Pippen and rest of the crew that San Antonio would not win titles without Parker. I really like T-Mac, his flashiness, his 13 points vs San Antonio, his comments on TNT now, but IMO you choose wrong again. I would defend Parker on that list for the reasons above.

@@lanceworthey4746 Yeah, it's tough to take any of the 50 original players, and I get why the NBA didn't do it for it would have been quite distasteful for the diseased. But compare Lenny Wilkens' and Tony Parker's careers as players, I would take Parker's anytime. Then, if you take in account coaching & implication in politics or social activities, Wilkens can't be removed. I would then take away DeBusschere or someone else of that era. Parker is still top 10 in points & assists in NBA playoffs history!

I'm a huge Mavs fan, but I am shocked to see such crucial #2's like Tony Parker & Klay Thompson not make the list... There are other players that have achieved less success, team-wise or individually, yet they made the list. Same with years in the league, so Klay's 8 years shouldn't be an issue (Mikan played 7). I get 3 point shooting has warped stats a bit, but these guys have been All Stars on dominant, mult-championship teams.

Tmac was just the better complete player. And if you knock Tmac for his shorter career, then why the hell is bill walton on the list?

In my opinion Walt Bellamy is one the biggest snubs ever, even on both top 50 and top 75 lists. He is a 4 time all star, has most points as a rookie besides Wilt Chamberlain with numbers of 31.6 points per game and 19.0 rebounds per game on over 50% from the field, has 6 seasons over 20 points per game, while shooting 51.4% from the field and he is also one of the most underrated rebounders of NBA history with avarage of 13.7 rebounds in his career and in his 14 seasons he avaraged over 10 rebounds in 12 of them, through his 13th season he had an average of 9.6. He was snubbed multiple times to become an all star because center position was stacked with guys like Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Nate Thurmond, Willis Reed, Zelmo Beaty and many more of them. Like how the hell a guy with avarage of 23 and 16 isn't an all star? 😀 These numbers KG had in his MVP season, i know pace was so much faster back then, but not being an all star with these numbers are insane.

As someone who watched basketball all through the 90s, it’s interesting to see how the perception of some players has changed, compared to how they were thought of back then. In pretty much every instance, I agree with what people thought back then. Guys like Alonzo, Rodman, and David Robinson are considered better now, but a guy like Patrick (who was better than all of them), gets much less respect today, than he got when he played. Alonzo at his best, was the best 2nd tier center in the league. But those days belonged to Shaq, Hakeem, Patrick, and David Robinson. Alonzos ascension into the top tier, only came after those guys (except Shaq) got old, but were never replaced with younger players with a similar skill set.

David Robinson got more awards (MVP, DPOY, All-NBA, All-Defensive), won more championships (2-0), had better career stats (pts, rbds, assts, steals, blocks) than Patrick Ewing. Robinson was thought of as better than Ewing then when they were playing (hence winning far more awards), and he's thought of as better than Ewing today.

Howard was a beneficiary of a weak era. I'm pretty sure that in three 90s he wouldn't be even a top 5 center behind Olajuwon, Ewing, Shaq, Mourning and Mutombo. Honestly I can't see a decade other than late 2000s/ early 2010s that he would be a top 5 center. And the second best was Andrew Bynum which says a lot.

I understand some hypotheticals but what i dont understand is when people take a freak of nature than suggest they couldnt play in other eras. Dwights a different combo of athleticism than any of those guys and bigger than most (overall size). Id argue he could use his capabilities more in a dump it down low league and would still be very successful. Yes he has less some less accolades such as DPOYs but he very well could have beennin the running and his points and rebounds and team success could shoot up in the same breath , not to mention he would have grown up in a different era thus learning different playstyle. I dunno, not every hypothetical is as simple as oh he played bums so he clearly not good

Bob Lanier and Walt Bellamy were also great centers in an era that were loaded at the center position. I'd rather have this centers over Dwight Howard.

He was a very good player, although cast in a role that did not suit his talents best. And what it's more he struggle to accept a role better for him. I believe even he's defense was overrated - he got his dpoys because he got crazy blocking numbers. Although his spikes out of bounds were really entertaining, they were far from being three most efficient defense. And his offense was more than limited. Just a crazy athlete unable to utilize fully his athletic gifts.

Of course they had Bird and McHale, I was happy to see The Chief on the list but I was disappointed that the late great Dennis DJ Johnson wasn’t on the list. The biggest thing about making a "snubbed" list is to mention who are you taking out of the current top 75. It's easy to make a list of snubs as there are definitely more than just 75 players who were great in the long history of the NBA. To mention who should be taken off as we rank the top 75 would make it more interesting as it sparks discussions and hopefully a friendly and meaningful debate.

In my opinion the only real snubs are Howard, Gasol and Draymond. Then, if you value 'specialists' (guys who excel at their role and can make any team better), which I do, I would add Klay and Ginobili. Afterwards you are splitting hairs honestly and about 20 players including those you mentioned in the video could have made it, but I wouldn't call those snubs.
